Christmas Decorating Help
It is our first christmas in our new house and we literaly have nothing. I have been looking around alot lately and I can not find a decent looking and priced fake tree I would really like a pre lit tree but I just cant find one that I like. Where have you bought girls your trees?
Re: Christmas Decorating Help
We got our 7.5 ft tree from Lowes for $129 & it is pre-lit. We picked it up last weekend.
Considering those from Frontgate and Grandin Road are $300-$4,000 I was pretty happy with my $129 tree. Obviously the bigger the tree, the higher the price but I think the 7.5 ft tree is fine for our first one.
This could be the one we bought actually. I thought we got a 7ft, but I could be wrong. I know we didn't pay that much for it since we got it on sale, but I can't remember the exact price.

Lowes & Home Depot have I think the best looking ones for the price. We look at them every year but always go with a real one! OMG I can't wait to get mine this year!!! COME ON THANKSGIVING!!!
I get my real tree from Home Depot every year they last a long time and I only pay about 40 bucks and I get a 9ft to 10ft tree! Oh my how I love our tree!!!
I'd love to have a real tree but I'm pretty sure my dogs would eat it
LOL
We always had real trees when I was growing up. Our cat, who was an inside/outside cat, loved to nap on the tree skirt because it smelled like outside but wasn't cold and wet like outside. He also liked to climb the tree. We'd see the tree shake a bit, and once in a while an ornament would fall off. If you went over and peered through the branches, there would be two yellow eyes staring out at you from near the trunk. He loved Christmas.
I'm trying to find a new tree for the house this year. Mine has just gotten old and there are obvious "holes" in the foliage. There are getting to be too many to cover up with ornaments.
But I LOVE my tree. It's 7.5', pre-lit and SUPER fat. I don't like all the skinny trees that I'm seeing everywhere.
I've been informed that I need to check out Garden Ridge. They have a huge sale starting Thanksgiving day. So we are going to scope it out a couple days before and then go up there during the sale if we find one we like.
Otherwise, we will just be holding on to the oldie for another year and maybe nab one on sale after Christmas.
I highly recommend doing whatever it takes to get through the holidays this year and then go shopping first thing the day after Christmas to pick out your pre-lit tree that you will keep for several years. We bought our pre-lit tree at Lowe's the day after and got a fantastic deal (like 55% off). But if you just can't wait, then there were lots of good suggestions in the PP's.
