Re: Feeling Peevy part 2
I always wondered, is it really that hard to say yes or no to something so trivial such as an invitation to a potential event? It drives me nuts that one can ask people a simple "would you be interested in ....." and rather than a yes or no, they don't get squat.
I always told my loved ones that I wouldn't be mad if they said no; I'd be mad if they didn't say anythig at all. I just always believed it was lack in common courtesy to not utter a simple response.
Of course this isn't the hill I want to die on, but I guess I just never understood how it could be so hard to tell your freinds or family "no," "no thank you," "I can't," or "I don't want to."
Oh yeah! I am super po'd and peeved at the Exec that I work for!!! Twice yesterday he screwed something up due to a lack of communication (sometimes I swear he expects me to read his mind! Grrr!!!), and then had the gall to try to pin the the screw up on me!!
Note: I am super talented at many things, but MINDREADING isn't one of them!!! Dammit
I'm sick and tired of all the guilt tripping from both families about the holidays. DH and I want to spend our first married Christmas by ourselves, in our own house, with our own traditions. Not to mention the fact that I am having surgery the week before and probably won't feel like traveling. No one gave a rats ass about us last year when my parents went to NY because of my niece and her first Christmas and when DH's family all went to DC (thus leaving no room for us) because my SIL was due weeks after Christmas with their first baby.
On a tangent from that rant, I'm also sick and tired of nosy SIL (not the same SIL from above) trying to trick DH into telling her what surgery I'm having. She must have asked him 6 different ways in the last 2 weeks and won't give up. It's not because she's concerned because she hasn't once asked if it's major or if I'm okay or if it's something to be worried about, she just want to know because she thinks she has to know everything!
(FYI: Most of you ladies already know that I have a bladder condition and it's related to that. I'll probably give you more details later because I know you guys do worry about all of us)
I'm just peeved....at everything...and everyone......I'm officially starting to dig my hole for the winter....

Apparently my school is missing 2 of my class credits at the moment, awesome, I am not taking 2 extra classes, figure it out.
And in general, why can people not drive! Ugh.
Girl - we could start a whole other post on this one!! We want to spend our first married Christmas at home also, and even though we have made this clear (and there was other drama last Christmas, which I won't rehash), but I can already see that the pressure will be put on H to have Christmas with his family, because now his Dad is having knee surgery and while it's not a serious operation (just a cartilege scrape), I know SIL is going to try to use it to try to guilt H into going...so hold your ground!!! I will do my best to do the same as well :-))
And good luck on your surgery!!!
I think you all know what I'm peeved about so I won't re-post about that.
I'm also peeved that Prince William won't be marrying me.
You crack me up. I am totally in agreement though.
Haha! Anybody else notice how much hair he's losing?

I am BEYOND peeved that a certain prosecutor refuses to even consider dropping the charges against my client when another individual (who looks exactly like the photo that the witnesses identified) wrote a FULL, SWORN CONFESSION to the charges. Hello that means HE did it, not my guy. So my client will fester in jail for at least another two months while I try to get a trial date, and hope that the person who actually did this doesn't disappear.
That, my friends, is NOT justice.
I'm peeved that the water in our shower isn't coming out as hot as the hot water in the rest of the faucets. Anyone have any plumbing knowledge? I had a very lukewarm shower this morning and it suuucked
The mirror barely fogged up and I was cold!!!
Having a house is definitely a love / hate relationship - there is always something to fix or figure out!!!!! It peeves me!!!
Wow! Talk about a doubly whamy! Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you my dear! Luckily the Pneumonia is "little". But I was advised to come back in if I feel like my lungs are going to collapse...haha.
