If you like really spicy food, please come in!

I already have Christmas gifts either bought, or decided on for almost everyone we exchange gifts with... except my brother. Good Lord this guy is impossible to buy for!

I was thinking about putting together some sort of hodge-podge of various spicy foods. He has an abundance of hot sauces, so I don't necessarily want to go that route if I don't have to. I was thinking about getting him some ghost pepper popcorn, but after that I have no ideas. I also don't want to break the bank while putting this gift together. We're sticking to a very, very strict budget this year.

Are there any spicy foods that you love? If so please share! I seriously don't think my brother has ever encountered something too spicy for him.

  • I have a recipe for a really good salsa that is easy to make and supper yummy. You could easily adjust the spiciness. In fact, I plan on making a giant vat of it this year and giving it out as gifts to all of my co-workers. It would be a breeze to jar it up and stick a label on it, and it's okay going unrefrigerated for awhile since it's basically just veggies and vinegar. If you want the recipe let me know and I'll dig it out.

Ooh I would love the recipe! Thank you :)

  • Very cool, I bet Christian would love that. He found a place on the internet where you can buy ghost chillies and/or the seeds for them. No thank you ;)

  • Is there a restaurant that he can get his favorite spicy dishes at?  Maybe a gift certificate there to add to his gift.

  • I'll dig out the recipe and post it in a day or two. If I forget someone remind me!
  • African Bird Pepper.  So good.  Super spicy - at 90,000HU this stuff is no joke.  We put it on everything, steak, Mac & Cheese, chicken, pasta sauces.  Delish.  We put it in shrimp tacos, devine.  We add it to salsas and chili.  Since it is a powder it is super versatile.  This stuff is fab in Mango Salsa too.  MmMmm!
