So, I heard about this website on the radio this morning. It's called getraised.com I was curious, of course and looked up my stats. It shows that I "May be Underpaid and Should Consider Requesting a Raise" Which, I already knew really.... my boss is not exactly a lets-hand-out-some-raises kind of guy.
I thought it might be kind of fun to post reactions though. What do you ladies think?
My results show that I am in the Significantly Underpaid group and that I am about $13,00 away from being on target. Wonderful!
I just hit 2 years here and was already considering asking for a raise anyways.
Next!!
Looking forward to our Big Day!

Re: Interesting Site...
I'm at the lowest end of the bell curve in the "significantly underpaid" category. It shows that I am almost $20K away from where I should be.
However, I already knew that I was way underpaid for my qualifications which is why I got a new job! Yay!

I agree! I don't whether I trust these results, but it is kind of fun looking
I also was the bottom of the bell curve, but they could have skewed the results to make people pay for help getting a raise. BUT, I would still like to have that other $13,000!!
It also told me that I am "significantly underpaid" but I know I make more than other people I know who have a similar position to mine. I also find it interesting that they don't take into consideration education or much prior work experience. And I wish it would show where they are pulling data from to make these calls.
Seeing as how they are trying to sell people on a service to help them get raises, I would imagine their tools for selecting who is under and over paid may not be completely accurate.
But it does makes me want to quit my job and focus 100% on my photography. I WISH.
It too told me that I am significantly underpaid, and I believe it. For what I do I don't even have a good job title. but that is why I am looking for a new job. Within the same company though.
Actually today when I was upstairs in the cafeteria a manger that I interviewed with a few months ago stopped me and told me that they are posting another job and that he would like me to apply - YAY!
I am really glad I decided to go up to the cafeteria today, I almost went to Target on my lunch break but was too lazy. lol
That's how my job is too. I can't really classify everything I do into one position. Good luck with applying to the new position! Let us know how it goes.
