we currently have a full-size bed and were going to get a queen-size for the new house. our friends mentioned over the weekend that they regretted not getting a king when they got their queen. what are your thoughts? get the queen or go for the king? thanks![Poll]
Re: bed help, lol
Me too!
Even before the baby, the cats made the queen too small.
We have a full. When we go to hotels, we always get a room with 1 king, and it's so big. We end up both sleeping on one half of the bed - not really snuggling, just close to each other. We are kind of small people, though. My BFF whose hubby is over 6' tall needs a king. She has nowhere to sleep in a queen.
The Sand in My Snow Boots
I went from a TWIN (yes, really) when I was single to the Queen E & I have, so I voted that Queen was sufficient. But I want to change my vote. E is a sprawler. And a mover. And a diagonal sleeper. And he radiates heat.
I'd kill for a King.

This!
Holy... Yeah, 6'7" kinda makes it necessary. E is under 6' by an inch or two. It was fun, though, when he stayed over my place before we moved in together. He'd be squished against the wall so he didn't roll off, and I'd be hanging off the edge, gripping for dear life.

LOL. Rodgers and I declared Sept 9 our special holiday. Last year, we spent that night with some friends in San Antonio because we had our green card interview the following morning. They had us sleep in their son's room - 2 twin beds. I thought we could push them together if they were side-by-side, but they were L-ed so it didn't work. Anyway, I was still determined that we'd spend the night in the same bed on our special holiday. Even though I was 20-something weeks pregnant. And even though it was summer in SA, and they turned their a/c off at night. We endured it almost an hour before I gave up and moved to the other bed.
thanks, ladies. getting back in the new house tomorrow to do some measurements (the MLS listing is wrong for some of the rooms) and see which rooms need to be painted.
when DH and i were first together, doing the LDR thing, we both slept in my twin bed at my parents whenever he came to visit. good grief, how did we EVER do that?! lol
