Hey ladies!

I feel like it's such hit and miss when I can be on anymore, hope everyone is doing well!  How are the pregnant ladies feeling??  I haven't missed anymore announcements, have I (I did see Ali's news)?? Wink

We had our 30 week appt. yesterday (how am I 30 weeks?!?).  Little man is still doing great, heartbeat was right at 135-140 range and he made a few moves/kicks for the midwife Smile  She said his head was low, but I wonder if it's still early for him to be getting into that position permanently...

We so close to having the nursery done, walls are painted, decals are up and I've gotten a ton of laundry done (yay for friends that give you hand me downs!).  Hopefully I can get some pics up for you soon!

Re: Hey ladies!

  • glad you're doing well!

so what's the nursery theme? you mentioned decals... inquiring minds want to know :)

  • lol...no theme, more just colors right now.  This is the crib set we went with (yep, ended up with a set - found it super cheap and it was the only one we could agree on!):

We painted 3 walls a light blue and one (that you see first when you walk in the room) chocolate brown.  Then we (by we I mean H Wink) painted two brown stripes on the wall opposite of the crib (this wall is light blue) and along the stripes, put up these decals (we used the top set, outlined and solid polka dots in white, brown and orange).

I'm still struggling with art work as I don't want the room to get too busy, but I'm not too concerned about that.  I know eventually it will all come together!

  • PS Pam - I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to your email on your nursery.  I definitely like the idea of having a yellow in there to keep it more gender neutral.  Those fish decals are adorable too!  Will you get to start working on rooms at the house before you move in?

  • Hey!  We miss you around here.

Glad to see you are getting some nesting done:)

Our glider came in the other day and we are going to pick it up.  I am super excited to do that.

  • Hey there! I can't believe you're at 30 weeks! Time is flying! Your bedding is super cute and I can't wait to see pics of the nursery :)

We're still plugging away on our nursery and I got all of her bedding and clothes washed. Diapers are next. Have you prepped any of your dipes yet? I had an appt on Friday and he's having me come in every 2 weeks now. I can't believe I'm already to that point! I had my glucose test this morning (yuck!), so I'm crossing my fingers that it comes back okay! My only symptom right now is backache!

How are you feeling these days?

I have not prepped diapers yet.  For some reason, this really scares me, like I might screw them up or something Stick out tongue

Fingers crossed that you pass the glucose, that is nasty stuff.  Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still way too much sugar for my taste.

Feeling really good considering!  Sleeping is getting a little more difficult, I finally broke out the body pillow, that helps keep me comfortable.  So far I'm able to sleep through most nights without getting up to pee, but I'm not sure how much longer that will last.  No heartburn or issues like that (trouble breathing, etc.) - I think because he is carrying lower?

LOL, I'm scared to start prepping them too! They're all nice and new right now! I was kind of hoping you started, so you could tell me it's not so bad. haha

That drink was way too sweet for me too! Not as bad as what I had in my head though.

I have only had heartburn twice and it was weeks ago. I'm hoping it was a fluke and it stays away! Glad to hear you're feeling good for the most part!

This may be a stupid question, but... prepped diapers?

They tell you to wash CD multiple times because your first use.  I believe they absorb better that way.

  • Oh!  That makes sense.  I've only ever had contact with disposables.

Yeah.  I used to allow myself one can a day for lunch, now I might have one every other week or so if I'm craving it.  So, I may be immune to the taste/effects of it...lol....however, the glucose just left a nasty after taste of sugar.  I think because you're not supposed to drink anything (including water), it makes it that much worse.  I confess I took one small swig of water just to get the texture out of my mouth Embarrassed

  • Glad you're doing well, I can't believe you're 30 weeks already, how did that happen.

    Love the nursery!!!

  • You look so fabulous!! What is your work schedule like now? One of these days we need to get together for lunch or coffee. Maybe after the holidays and we can have the little ones meet (not that either one of them will be interested in the other!). It will amaze you how much bigger a 4 month old is than a newborn!
