Anyone around today?

The board seems slow today, I'll start the posting with a few fun questions...

What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any?

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I am SO lost this year besides telling people to complete our registry items.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? I am finding myself on a baking bread kick. Hubby is loving the apple bread I made.. :)

Go.

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any? I am getting my husband a golf club organizer from BBB,

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I am SO lost this year besides telling people to complete our registry items. --I want a gift card for a facial from a spa. I had one right before the wedding and loved it.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? I am finding myself on a baking bread kick. Hubby is loving the apple bread I made.. :)

---We are moving in our new house next weekend so once we get in there I will go crazy with decorations.

  • Each year I have been giving my nephews advent calendars.  I have been buying the ones from the store and last year I found out that the chocolate is not good in them.  I want to make these this year but I am having a hard time finding the small match boxes.  I thought about making it with the large match boxes but at roughly a $1 a box and 4 nieces/nephews that will become a costly project.

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? I am getting hubby a pool table!  There is one unfinished room in our basement that still needs some attention and hubby and I are planning on turning it in to a gym / game room.  This means we'll need to get going on that!

Are you making any? No - I wish I was that creative =(

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I'd like a pair of those knitted Ugg slipper boots; a Dyson vaccum cleaner; jewelry is always nice =)

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? I don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving - usually the first week of December.  FI and I did just buy a few more ornaments for our tree though, and I'd like to get a nice Christmasy table cloth / place mats / etc for our dining room table and can't wait to buy some pointsettas and put up our Christmas lights!

I've been asked to bring a desert to Thanksgiving so I'm thinking just a nice home made apple pie.  Haven't even begun thinking about the Christmas meal yet lol

  • I'm so boring.  We're not giving anything good, so I guess I'm most excited about the photobooks and the mug we're getting for my FIL with wedding pictures on it.

I'm hoping to get an extra bowl for my KitchenAid (preferably with a spout).

We don't decorate or really cook since we're not home for the holidays.  I am firmly against decorating for one holiday until the next is over, anyway, and I don't know how I could cook so far in advance?  I am making yummy pumpkin seeds to bring along for Thanksgiving, and tonight I'm making cookie dough pie for Jeff's work party tomorrow.  I may decide to bring something to NJ for Christmas, but it's not even at my IL's house and there's already too much food.

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any?
I'm giving hubby a PS3 that he's wanted for a long time.  I got my Mom and her fiance some Arbonne items, which I know they'll be surprised and thrilled about!
I tried making scarves for my cousins...didn't turn out too well so I scratched that idea...maybe next year if I give myself enough time.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I am SO lost this year besides telling people to complete our registry items.
Don is getting me a KitchenAid stand mixer, cannot wait!!!
My Mom is getting Don and I a new laptop, which is amazing!

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along?
We decorate for Christmas right after Thankgiving so that everything is out for my birthday (12/4)!  This year we're going up to NJ so we'll be decorating when we come back!  I'm not even thinking about the cooking plans for Christmas since Christmas eve is spent with Don's family (finger foods) and then we drive up to my Moms to spend Christmas day with her (she does all the cooking).  I think this year though I'll cook a nice big meal for New Years since Don will be home and not working like the last 2 years!  So after Thanksgiving I should start thinking about that!

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any? No, because no one in my family has told me what they want. I thinking about making MIL a shutterfly book.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I am SO lost this year besides telling people to complete our registry items. I have a list a mile long!!

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? I am finding myself on a baking bread kick. Hubby is loving the apple bread I made.. :)I wish I knew how to make bread, I love bread it is my biggest weakness. Luckly we still go to our familys for Christmas so I don't have to cook anything, maybe i'll bring some cookie, and they will be from the Nestle Log of cookie dough. LOL

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any? I just bought my sister a NY metro cuff.  It's got a slightly abstract rendering of the NYC subway system on a bracelet.  She walked 40 blocks last week because she doesn't know how to navigate the subways.  I may bake for some of our friends.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? I am SO lost this year besides telling people to complete our registry items. I don't know.  I've got several "big-ticket" items that I'd like, but can't fully justify getting (cause I probably won't use them often).  I will definitely be cashing in some credit card reward points for a WS gift card after Christmas to buy some baking goodies for myself!

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? I am finding myself on a baking bread kick. Hubby is loving the apple bread I made.. :)Decorations are none existent.  We still have to unpack first.  I've been bookmarking recipes like crazy, but still need to get some supplies.  Work is going to be crazy-insane for December and may require lots of OT for me, so I don't even know if I'll have time to bake.  Which makes me sad, because I now turn to baking for stress relief.

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any?

Probably whatever toys I get for my nieces and nephew. Although I'm super excited to see him wear this onesie I bought him that has the picture of an ipod and headphones on it and it says "ipood". Yeah, I know.

I have NO idea what I'm getting Jeremy. He wants another pair of sunglasses since he lost his others but not so sure I want him to lose this pair too...

I'm going to make scarves and coasters for his family since they don't really exchange gifts but I figured I'd do it for the grandparents and all.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)?

I want the 3 shelf and 5 shelf bookcases so I can finish the living room. Hopefully Jeremy's buying the 5 shelf one and my parents are buying the 3 shelf one.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along?

My mom is making the turkey for me to bring to the thanksgiving dinner at his family's (I love her!). I haven't really had time to cook let alone bake but I have all next week so I will probably do a lot of baking.

We're moving into the new house the first weekend in December so I'll decorate after that. I don't decorate til after Thanksgiving anyway and always before my birthday 12/15.

perfume (mark jacobs), anything left on the registry, gift certificate to the gapHow are the decorations and cooking plans coming along?
we dont really decorate.  we set out the menorah when hannukah starts.  and we set out everything else (ie, the tree) a week before christmas.
  • First of all I'm in CA so it's 8:15 am.  I just got into work and already checking out TN.

Second of all, Jen I'm so jealous that you're getting the Kitchen Aid.

What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any? I don't know yet.  I do plan on making a tin with cookies, truffles and brittles and giving them to our families.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? A Kitchen Aid or a new mattress set.  Realistically I would like some comfy PJ's (not flannel) or baking items.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? Haven't started decorating yet.  We'll start after Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving cooking plans are coming along, I'm so ready to get started.  For Christmas my dad and I usually make tamale's.  They are so time consuming but they are so delicious!

  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? Are you making any?

I haven't even begun to think about gifts for others yet. I may be baking a bit for some of my coworkers and family.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)?

I have shopping carts at Sephora and Victoria Secret that I would love to some how end up under the tree. Right now I am focused on my birthday first.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along?

We still need to take down our little Halloween decorations. I am trying to figure out how we are going to decorate, but I think we are going to have two or three trees (one of them little on the porch). I always like to use the ornaments we have received over the years, but love the trees that have a theme or color scheme. Cooking hasn't been thought about yet.
  • What are the favorite gifts you are giving this year? XBox 360 for my husband; he has no idea about it.

Are you making any?not making any but going to buy some frames for some wedding pics to give to family members as gifts (the ones with them and us in it). And I make some cookies for some family and co-workers.

What do YOU want from Santa (or hubby)? New stereo for my car, snowboard weekend in Tahoe, sports massages.

How are the decorations and cooking plans coming along? Need to get them from my grandparents house and made a list of what cookies & goodies I'll make this year.

I think I caught a nasty cold or something (not KU...I wish). and still can't shake it off.
