Wedding Photos - still not chosen

Good Morning Ladies!

Please tell me that I am not the only one who hasn't picked out my wedding photos yet?!?!?! I was just thinking about how I need to make an appointment with out photographer to go over the pictures we want to purchase and the ones we want to make our photo book with. I can't believe I have slacked so badly on this one. You would think that I would have wanted to get these back right away. I just keep thinking about how much it is going to cost and keep putting it off. UGH!

Anyone else with me?

PS I have a feeling I am going to be bored today so expect multiple posts :) he he he

Re: Wedding Photos - still not chosen

  • You are not the only one.

I have gone through the pictures multiple times.  I have starred the ones that I want in the album.  I have even organized them online into an approximate order.  But that's as far as I have gotten.

DH still wants to go through them, to see if there are any pictures he really likes that I missed.

With all the craziness of the holidays, my guess is that we will not even meet with our photographer until the new year to finish all of this.  I am not so concerned about the album, but I really want to frame and hang some of our pro pictures in the house.  Maybe I will do this sooner than the album!

  • No I'm in the same boat too. We have to take off about a dozen or so more pictures for the album and we can't choose......they're all amazing.

I'm actually going to email my photographer and ask her how much it will cost for that many extra photos. But I haven't even thought really about our 8x10 pictures that we get....there's two of those and I have no clue how to choose!

  • Our photog printed a book of our wedding for his own promotion, and right now I have that sitting on my coffee table.  But there's an error in it and there's photos I don't want in mine and ones that are missing etc.

    But that's all we got.

We're about to do a big print order soon.  My photog gave us digital images of all the photos, and we just go and get whatever we want printed.  But DH pretends it doesn't make a difference to him, "he likes them all", yet I know once I decide and get some printed, he'll have an opinion.

We are planning on giving out copies at Christmas though.

Did anyone think of doing a canvas print? If so, do you love it? What size?

Before the wedding my husband won 2 free canvas prints from some wedding site. We printed a wedding family pic of just his side as a Christmas gift for his parents. We also printed a pic of us with our parents for ourselves. Both are 16x20.

Honestly I don't really get the appeal of canvas prints, but they do look very sharp and clear just like a paper print and are super easy to hang. I guess maybe in 50 years it will supposedly still look the same so we'll appreciate it more then. Meh, it was free.

I'm thinking about a canvas picture.  Haven't considered a size yet though.  I have a couple of options I am considering.  I'll post them later.  I also want a canvas from our honeymoon.  I love the look of the large canvas pictures!

  • none of you are alone!  We have not even started picking out any of our prints or album photos... my mom keeps asking, but we haven't done it.  Partially because we just haven't had time/thought to do it, paritally because my photographer and I have become somewhat of friends throughout this process, and I know she has a lot more time to work on her albums in the off-season, December thru March.

I'm also kind of trying to wait because sometime between January and March we're going to to 'TTD'/'rock the frock'/portraits in our wedding attire, and I think we're going to incorporate the pup as well.  I'm contemplating putting some of those in the album in addition to the wedding pictures.

  • It makes me feel better to know that I am not alone!  We only just gave the okay to get our album printed this week and we still have 2 11x14 prints to choose.  We also got a second sitting in our package and are only getting around to use it next week!
