I got a Blackberry Curve back in April and the damn battery is overheating now...after a measly 7 months! WTF

7 months really? I'm just concerned that the battery on the next one will only last 7 months too.
I had a phone (a Motorola I think) back when I was with Verizon. The battery crapped out and they sent me a replacement battery. The replacement didn't even last a month, so they sent me another replacement battery. That replacement battery also sucked so I called and demanded that they send me a new phone. They said they could only send me the exact same model. They no longer had brand new ones so they sent me a refurbished one, and that phone sucked too. Just one of the reasons I ended my relationship with Verizon.
Wow Deb, that was a really bad experience. I had a Motorola once and that battery sucked too, had to get a few replacements, but nothing like your story!
All my other phones had been LG and never had a problem, which I guess is why I've always just stuck with Verizon. When I was able to upgrade back in April I thought I should upgrade to a Blackberry, so I did. I really hope I don't end up regretting it! I'm going on my lunch hour to get the new batter so hopefully it works for a while and I don't have to get another replacement anytime soon, but at least I'm covered if I do...it'll just be a big pain in the ass!
Technology is so powerful, but it sucks sometimes!
After being at Verizon for 45 minutes on my lunch hour - its not the battery that's the issue its the actual phone! Apparently mine phone was from a "bad batch" that will overheat! Thank you Verizon for being SO proactive and letting us consumers know!
I'm SO happy it's still under warranty because I'll have a new FREE replacement phone on my doorstep tomorrow.
I feel so naked without a phone today though!
