New Ideas for Date Night?
We're just married and it feels like date night now consists of a redbox movie and the couch, staying in to save money. Any fun but affordable ideas to have a nice romantic date night, but not spend a fortune?
Re: New Ideas for Date Night?
DH and I like bowling together. It's cheap, it's fun, and it's something different. We also play lots of board and card games. Backgammon, Wii, poker, Yahtzee, Boggle, etc. I think we like the games because they are so much more interactive than watching a movie, kwim?
Do you have passes to any of the area attractions? DH and I will go to the museum, aquarium, Kings Island, etc. because it's all free with our passes.
Our fave cheap night together is a hike in Ault Park with a picnic dinner and bottle of wine on a blanket after. Close seconds, or when it's too cold, is dinner at Mayberry downtown where you can bring your own alcohol & Final Friday's at the galleries and shops in OTR. they have free wine and sometimes apps as you walk through and there is always a good crowd.
We also like to go to CAC on Monday nights when it's free.
If you like wine as much as me, check out winegirl.net for wine tastings around the city. Many of them are free, some only $5 or less. The Art of Entertaining does a Friday night tasting for $22/person that includes 6 wines plus food pairings. That's a mid-range night out.
Or, do a potluck with friends. We love to host, so we do a lot of fondue nights where everyone brings either wine or salad.
