New show: Apocalypse, PA
Anyone see this last night? On History Channel, I think. A family trying to become self sufficient. More for end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it, but a lot of crossover to green. In the 1st episode they got goats and converted a truck to run on wood and horse manure. In the 2nd they made ammunition and gun powder for a 1850's pistol and moonshine.
Made me feel downright mainstream!

This makes me want to have tv. I love crazy survival stuff.
Moonshine making is a very key survival skill.
I think in most places it's only illegal to sell homemade hooch (Uncle Sam wants the tax).
They mentioned this in the show. They all did a shot on the son's 21st BD and he commented that his 1st legal drink was probably still illegal. lol
