Health & Fitness Wednesday
I forgot to weigh myself this morning, but i I lost 0.8 lbs last week (which is a big success b/c i've been either stagnant or gaining a little each week since our wedding. Now, i probably gained back that 0.8 in the last week, though, with all the new recipes i've been trying...but it at least gives me hope that i can go in the right direction.
That being said, Zig has gotten down to the smaller hole in his belt by eating candy, ice cream and tons of non-diet soda non-stop for the last few months. Sometimes, i hate him.

Re: Health & Fitness Wednesday
I didn't weigh myself this morning but I'm pretty sure I haven't lost any weight. I know I need to make some adjustments to my diet...mainly portion control!
I will say that I've been pretty good with the exercise. My Zumba classes have now transitioned into a total body conditioning class (until the Z instructor gets back in Feb). They've added a kickboxing class on Wednesdays that I think I might try out today. And then Thursdays is Spin. I figure between those 3 classes and going to the gym on my own on Mondays...that's pretty good right?
Now...focus needs to be on the diet. Good thing Thanksgiving is next week right?!!?
Need to vent!! I have been awful with getting to the gym lately and it's been killing me! I feel like every night at work I've been so busy.... giving so many baths and woundcare to 3-400 lb patients, transporting sick patients, etc. I come home from work every morning and feel like work beat the crap out of me. I guess the fact that I barely sit down for my 12 hours of my work (except during my 30-minute lunch) negates the fact I have not been able to work out? I've always been an avid exerciser, so this concept of not working out to me is very strange and bothersome... sorry, I just had to vent!
I've been trying to really watch what I eat moreso since I haven't been able to get to the gym, but I don't weigh myself so I don't know weight-wise how I'm doing.
I am going to the gym tonight for the first time since Friday... getting back into my kickboxing class. Tomorrow night is Xtreme Cycling. Friday is a tough day... I have a chemo certification class and then we're going to pick up the puppy as soon as we get home. So I hope to do a Jillian Michaels workout before I leave Friday AM.
I'm holding steady at 136. I'm cool with that for now. Would eventually like to get down to around 130...but I'm thinking I'll wait til the holidays are over to start trying really hard! lol
Finally got my butt back on the treadmill last week. But then we had/have a ton of stuff going on with my boy...so workouts have totally gotten pushed to the back burner again.
I've lost 3lbs since I got my gym membership 3 weeks ago. I'm making it to the gym 3-4 times a week, and I'm still noticing improvements.
I start back at the Restaurant next Monday though, so it'll be a big adjustment being a mom with my job. I'm scared! I don't know how often I'll make it to the gym too. But I know I will drop some weight just from being on my feet for 40 hours a week... well, maybe 35...instead of being at home with babygirl. Apparently on a busy Friday, we average 8 kilometres in a shift. (I think that might be 5 or 6 miles), so my legs will be sore next week!
July 10, 2010 Best. Day. Of. Life.
well, this is my first week back on track, and i'm pretty happy with myself! i lost 5 lbs! i know a lot of that (if not ALL) is water weight because once i start dieting/exercising this always happens lol...
i've been drinking WAY more water, watching everything i eat (dropped the sweets cravings, thank goodness), and have been walking 3 miles every day. hopefully i can keep this up! terrible timing with the holidays here, but i figure i will obviously splurge on thanksgiving (although, i'm still going to deny the pies!) and then keep dieting/exercising until xmas, splurge on xmas, and then go right back to diet/exercise afterwards.
the serious key for me is to keep that sugar OUT! i have to keep telling myself that slice of pie is not worth it because i will be craving pie every day afterwards! haha...and sugar cravings are like torture to me.
so, a great first week! lets hope i stay on track!!!
