I changed my name at the DMV today, and it only took an hour! Plus, it was FREE! Yay!
Now I still have to change it at my credit union, payroll, health and life insurance, Doctor's Offices, and for my Notary Public. Oh, and on my car registration.
Other than the DMV, cell phone, and SS office (already done) am I missing anything??
So far the process has been fairly easy

I kept my maiden name on my DL as my middle name just so I would have some I.D. with it! It actually was handy this year. I had stock bequeathed to me and it was of course in my maiden name. No biggie.

yeah, i slacked off and didn't mail it back in time, so my passport is still in my maiden name.

I also kept my maiden name as my middle name on my drivers license and SS card.
I don't have credit cards, utilities or a passport, so I don't have to worry about any of those.
I just called and changed my name and added DH to my car insurance, and it lowered my premium by $90/6 months. Hell yeah!!
