We're doing a "Bake-Off" at work next week. I originally wanted to make apple pie but someone else is make that. From what I've heard, we've got cheesecake and whoopie-pies covered as well.
I figured most items are going to be pretty sweet/rich so I wanted to make something to balance all the sweetness - hence apple pie idea.
But now...I'm stuck. I was thinking cherry pie but I don't know.
Any suggestions?!
PS. the only dessert I've ever made is apple pie!
Re: Dessert - What to make?
what about a berry or peach cobler/crisp?

Totally easy idea:
Chocolate and/or vanilla instant pudding. (make it.) Put a little dollop into a pre-made chocolate bowl like this:
(In the frozen dessert section at grocer.)
Add a berry (whatever you have at the store...raspberry, blueberry, etc.) and a little mint sprig to the top. Viola!
also, pumpkin bread pudding, apple dumplings or banana cake with peanut butter frosting

A sign up sheet is going up today so I'll have to see what everyone else is making. So many great ideas ladies! I might need to sneak some of those recipes just to make one weekend as a treat.
I just found this recipe for "Make Your Own Oreo Cookies"! I can't wait to try it!
