Spent yet ANOTHER night in the emergency room. Around midnight last night, Adam went to let Brody out and it was raining. Brody REFUSES to go outside in the rain unless you go outside with him. For some reason, Adam decided not to turn on the back porch light... I was already in bed. He tripped over a little pile of wood that we have for our firepit and hit our grill with his hand, slicing it open on a sharp metal piece. He came in, woke me up and was bleeding EVERYWHERE. He had paper towels wrapped around his hand, but they were completely saturated with blood and were dripping all over the place (including our nice beige carpet).
So I make him go in the bathroom so I could take a look at it. It wasn't a very long cut, but it was bleeding horribly. I wrapped it up as best as I could and we go to the emergency room. He ended up having to get 3 stitches. So after the ER and then the pharmacy all the way across town, I was able to crawl into bed at 5 this morning. I slept for about 3 hours and then got up for work (I had already emailed one of the supervisors and let them know that I was going to be super late this morning).
I am SOOOOOO sick of hospitals!!! So here I am at work, running on fumes, and I have a major crick in my neck from crashing so hard when we got home and my poor baby is at home in pain. Poor guy!!
Re: Well, that was one hell of a night....
I said to myself when I read the title before opening this post. OH NO I am guessing another trip to the ER...why this time!
You 2 oh boy. When you get pregnant some day I hope you stay in a plastic bubble!!!
LOL! This!!
But seriously, I thought you were going to tell me he hit his head when he fell. I feel so bad for you that you guys had to be in the ER all night again. But I'm really glad he's OK.
I was cracking up in the exam room though, because Adam is seriously a baby when it comes to needles. Well, the doctor had to inject the cut with lidocaine to numb it. The Dr kept telling Adam that he needed to open his hand up so he could get to it and Adam kept tensing. Well, he finally opened his hand and blood squirted across the room!!
So the doctor tells him that he's going to stick the needle in and Adam freaks out. I'm holding his other hand and Adam is hollering. We were the only people in the ER at the time, so all of these other nurses come swarming into the room because they thought that Adam was going to hit someone. The doctor kept telling the nurses that everything was fine, but I was cracking up that they really thought there was a problem going on.
Agree!!! Well im glad that everything is ok now. Today is almost over get some rest when you get off of work today.
Wow! I thought I had a bad night! You guys should buy a house next door to a hospital, you'd save alot in gas driving there all the time! lol
*shakes head*
I'm glad no permanent damage occurred. Yikes. You two are in the ER more than all of the other people I know put together. Yes, ALL of them.
My company sells bubble wrap stu, so if you decide to go that route, I can probably get you a discount.
I hear bubble wrap and all I can think of is this...
If you're an Office fan... you get it.
Glad he's ok... Does his insurance cover these ER visits 100%?
Well, he has a $100 copay for ER visits, but that's not bad.
BAAHAHAHAHA! I remember this episode! Michael took on the George Foreman grill and lost!
hahahaha i remember this
