please show me your recycling area
so i was spoiled with the luxury of mixed recycling at my old apartment, now we have to take it in to the recycling center ourselves, since we dont get roadside service out in the country. for a while my husband was taking it all in, so I didnt realize he has to seperate everything when he gets there. I was just putting all recycling in a bag, like i did at my apartment.
so i am looking for a FUNCTIONAL attractive way to store/sort recycling in a small amount of space.
id love to read your blogs, or check out your bios, whatever. or feel free to post pics.
Thanks.

Re: please show me your recycling area
We're the same way. We have to sort and take in all of our own recycling. We got lucky when we bought our home because there is a tall built-in cabinet next to our back door. It has four shelves in it. We put a plastic bin on each shelf and labeled each bin. So all of our recycling goes into that cupboard.
Before we had the house we used one of those plastic drawer thingamajigs. The ones made by rubbermaid that people often use to store socks and undies and stuff. It looks like a small plastic dresser. Not exactly pretty, but it worked.
My mom lives in the same town as me, so she's in the same situation. She just has an extra trash can under her sink, and all of her recyclables go into the can. She keeps extra bins in her garage and sorts her recyclables down there before she takes it in.
HTH!
