so every year H and I send out a holiday card with a picture with the dogs
This year I really want not be rushed ( normally we are taking the picture on the 15th of Dec. and getting everything rushed and out by the 20th )
anyways
would you opt for a studio session ( I always hate how " stiff " people look in the pictures ) or go out in the park and have your semi pro friend shoot some pics and pray one comes out good enough ?
also -- what should we wear, generally sweaters but I can never figure out which colors work the best.
Re: holiday pictures
I like the idea of going to the park better than a studio session. Especially with your dogs, I think that would look more natural.
As far as colors, I think darker colors look nice like black or dark green to make it look more "christmas-y".

Friend and park.
Friends and park. That's the way we're doing it, though it may be more back yard and mom... I think we're going to wear dark colored sweaters (dk green for H, turquoise for me, and whatever we can find for Nate - he doesn't have anything suitable right now) and jeans. We try to take our pictures at Thanksgiving so that we have a couple of weeks to send them, and they arrive before Christmas.
