I can clean it and clean it, and still our socks (and the babies sleepers) look like I've never cleaned it. We JUST installed it over the past 2w or so. We finally finished on Saturday, all of it's down except for the trim. Because of cutting it, there's a lot of saw dust. I decided to mop and bucket clean it because there was just too much dust for my new Rubbermaid Reveal to be able to hold onto. I've cleaned all of the area except for the laundry room (the last part to get finished) several times. So I used the mop and bucket last night, and already today the twins' sleepers are covered in dirt. I cleaned the heck out of the floors, I picked up EVERYTHING except for the kitchen table, dining room table, and couch, so I know there wasn't a huge pile of dust/dirt lingering somewhere. Is it just going to take several moppings to get ALL of the dirt off, what's the deal. We haven't even worn shoes inside since I cleaned it last night. So any thoughts? I'd like to clean it every other day or so, but I don't want to HAVE to clean it every other day or daily.
Re: My laminate is filthy
I use the libman freedom spray mop (I love it so much more than my swiffer) and fill it with warm water and vinegar.

I usually clean my hardwood floors on my hands and knees at least once a month. I use the swiffer mop w/my homemade cleaner in it the rest of the time. I would suggest doing the hole house once over on your hands and knees after vacuming every corner and around the baseboards to get the initial dust out. Then it should just be maintainance that is needed. I will tell you that I notice the grim a lot quicker on my hardwood than I ever did when I had carpet. We are not too far from a park and orchards so I have to sweep or vaccum every other day or so, as opposed to only twice a week with the carpet.
As a side note though, my allergies are so much better since we ripped out the carpet, and my dogs muddy messes through the doggie doors are much easier to clean-up.
