Airlines with no security

Cali, I'm so jealous:

This airline has no security checks.  I would totally fly on this airline.  I've ridden on trains and subways and gone up in tall buildings that have no security checkpoints.  This is such a rare and random risk, I am not worried.  Would you fly if no one got scanned at all?

Re: Airlines with no security

  • There's probably no security because we're all a bunch of hippies who wouldn't give into the man like that.  Damn the man!

I don't know how I would react to no security at the airport.  I think I'd at least like to have them prevent people from bringing actual weapons on a plane.  You know how Texans are.

  • I fly private pretty regularly (it is not cushy at all, don't be impressed).

I just have to scan my work ID, but I can bring an immediate family member and they don't have to show ID period.  We load our own bags, which could be a BOMB OH NOES and also have open access to the cockpit.  I've heard people take guns pretty regularly to go hunting, and the bags are all just piled up in the back, where we can get to them.

    It's like a hijacker's dream.

  • Flying military is similar (without the family access). Walk up, flash a line badge, load your bag wherever there is room and find somewhere to sit. Beautiful lack of lines and 2 hr waits. There are 18 year olds with M16s, but they're getting on the jet with you so you're safe in flight too.
