Fat clothes

Well while I'm here and showing up as myself, I will ask my questions of you lovely ladies whom I've missed so much!!

I lost about 15 pounds for the wedding.  Since then, I'm down even more.  What do I do with my "fat" clothes?  Do I save them in case I get fat again?  Do I save them in case I get...GOD FORBID...pregnant?!?!

Re: Fat clothes

  • I would keep them. I have been up and down on the scale for the past 7 years, literally I lost about 90 pounds then gained it all back lost 50 again gained it back. So to be on the safe side I would keep them.

  • i am beyond jealous.  i say get rid of them!  thrift store!  and buy yourself some new stuff.

i wish i could lose 15+ pounds. (as i eat my leftover shepherds pie...)

  • Hey Shauni!!  It was tough and still is...I went to see some of my friends working the Islander game last night and just hung out by the home & visiting tunnels, drinking soda and eating sweet potato fries!  Then we went out and drank beer LOL so it was a bad night.  But my philosophy is, if I can follow the rules for 90% of the time, I'm ok.
  • GET RID OF THEM!! It will prevent you from gaining all the weight back. Once your new clothes get snug it will be an indicator for you to start kicking your butt in gear. This way you'll only fluctuate 5-10 lbs.
  • I agree, get rid of them.  If you don't have backup clothes it will keep you motivated to maintain your weight, or lose more.

I have my skinny clothes, well not really skinny but they are from before I gained the 25 lbs. from about a year and a half ago.  I keep them to keep me motivated to fit back in them.

  • I think I'm a border line hoarder b/c I always have kept my "fat clothes" just in case.  I always have a hard time parting with clothes, regardless of whether I've worn them in the past 5 years or not. :-)

Shauni - did you make the shepherd's pie you're eating?  If yes, please send me the recipe.  Thanks.

  • When I lost weight I kept my chubby (I never called myself fat) clothes around thinking I might need them.  That was 15 years ago.  Never needed them.  You're just accumulating clutter.
