Video Camera rec's?

Any one know of or have a good video camera that they would recommend?  I want to get one, but really have no idea.  I don't need anything real fancy, just something to take video of Dylan's first x-mas and when he starts walking.  Things like that.  Thanks girls!

  • We have the Flip, and it is great! Literally the same size as my Point and Shoot camera. The quality is great and it plugs into the computer USB port so easy uploading. You might be able to still find some that don't film in HD and they will be a little cheaper.

I have a Flip too and love it. I like that it's ready within like 2 seconds of turning it on -- it's perfect when Brody is doing something really cute and I don't want to miss it! I also like that it's all internal memory (at least the one I have is). It only holds 2 hrs total, but I download videos on my laptop right away, so space hasn't been an issue. I also love that it runs on AA batteries!

  • DH got me the Kodak Playsport... it's the same as the Flip camera, but waterproof up to 10 feet!!!  We ordered it on Sunday night... then Monday night FIL calls DH to tell him they bought us a video camera for Christmas!!  So now we are returning the Playsport b/c the one they got us is more expensive, and we don't want them to have to return theirs.

They got us this one (and I think they will give it to us this weekend, as opposed to Christmas).... the Canon Vixia HF200
