Restaurant Suggestions

I'm planning a dinner for coworkers + spouses (it'll be a work-sponsored event) and I'm looking for restaurant/venue suggestions around Cincinnati. There will be about 25 people.

Any great restaurants out there? Unique venues that are Cincinnati secrets?

Thanks girls!

Re: Restaurant Suggestions

  • What about Montgomery Inn? It may not be what your looking for but I think it is a must hit spot in Cincinnati.

  • Montgomery Inn is a great choice. Pompelios in Newport, KY which is close is a good Italian choice.

  • My favorite big group restaurant place is Maggiano's.  I just planned an work event with them during the summer and it was delicious.  My family also does birthdays there.

For something a bit different, maybe one of the following:

Vinkolet or Valley Vineyard - haven't been here personally yet but here it's great for wine people.  I think both have grill your own food options, too.

Melting Pot - fondue; interactive stuff always makes for a fun party!

Jeff Ruby's, Celestial, or Trio - for classic work dinner with steak depending on what part of town you want to be in.  I think Ruby's has the best Steak but Celestial has a great view.  Trio I like their private room and all their food is yummy.

  • Dee Felice in Main Strasse

  • Jeff Rubys, Celestial, Nada, Via Vite, Palomino, Maggianos.

  • maybe I missed it but are you doing a week night or weekend? I think that will be a huge difference with a large group. Some of the places dont necessarily hold that many people for a big group setting - I know Pompilios has a lot of space but you will be in a section vs more together (I am not a huge fan of their food but that is just me). I think that it would depend on your price point as well- if you are looking at a week night, you can always try something like Senate (they will do private events once in a while and close to the public) - There is also the Summit which is the Cincinnati State Culinary school restaurant which is always nice, Daveeds which does a tapas menu upstairs and you can talk to them about private events and even Maribelles on Eastern that are always good touches. Nectar is also good as well and is usually not crowded and good for events.
