Crazy or Optimist?

OK, my crazy chart & temps are driving me crazy.  FF gives & takes away my crosshairs all.the.time....  I should probably stop charting since the RE gave me <1% chance of getting pregnant with my own eggs, but it is so easy to do and I havent stopped....

So, now FF has me at 15 DPO and I have been feeling sick to my stomach off & on all day Monday & Today and of course I gained 4 lbs yesterday at my weigh in, and I'm having all these twinges and such in the ute area...  I have fallen for the "symptoms" more times than I'd like to admit.  I don't want to test, because I like wondering if I might be, but then again I "know" that there is practically NO CHANCE that I am.

So, am I crazy or an optimist?

Thanks for reading if you got this far  Confused

Re: Crazy or Optimist?

  • Optimist IMO. Big Smile FF is addictive but drove me batty also, it still has my O date wrong, because I had a second spike higher than the day I am positive I O'd. If their O date was right being ku would be impossibe (no nookie = no baby).

For what it's worth aside from the indigestion I totally feel like am just waiting for AF to get here, If I hadn't tested I would still be waiting. Crazier things have happened sending so many vibes your way.

I agree that it's optimism :) Have you POAS?  I think you should if you're 15DPO!!

Wendy - were you using OPKs in addition to charting? Can I see your chart?  I love looking at charts!

LOL!  You should see Summer's BFP chart!  Her DH had to have had some super sperm!!

  • See, yesterday I had another low temp and they took my crosshairs away, today high again so they put them back....  I have POAS so many other times... always BFN.   I want to, but I don't want to.... I know I'll be let down again.

I feel silly even considering that I might be

You shouldn't feel silly. I can't 100% remember your situation...you still have eggs correct? If you have eggs, you can get pregnant!

  • Optimist!  I figure if I can't TTC, I can at least be a good cheerleaders for all those who are!

High FSH (like 35), I'm old (42), RE says less than 1% chance to get pregnant with my own eggs.  Plus I've thought this umpteen times before.  Wow I sound negative....  I do still have some eggs I'm sure.  I hate being dissapointed LOL

Go to "sharing" on the left side and then make sure your chart settings are to share. Then, you can copy and paste the link it gives you.

  • Well your doc said 99% so that means there is a possibility!!!

    ahaaaaaaa

    Here is my chart.

I probably should have disregarded the 11th because I was up abot 1.5 hours before I took my temp.

  • Optimist! That would be so wonderful!! POAS for us!

LOL Stacey, you're very right. That also proves I had no clue what I was doing, sure didn't plan it!

Pooks, you'll know if the O date was right when you have a dating u/s. I knew exactly which day and then the dating u/s confirmed it (must to the doc's dismay).

  • I'm not sure because I never temp'd before this month and my cycles are never consistent though usually between 23 and 28 days; buuuuut from August through Oct they were much longer 29 - 32, I never have had a cycle (or since I was like 15) that lasted 32 days. That is why I think I O'd on the 29th and not the date FF suggests I took the test on what I thought would have been the 16th day of my luteal phase (well that was my reasoning anywho)

Yeah that's crazy!  Based on your chart (NOT your BD), I would agree with FF and say you ovulated on CD19. But clearly based on BD, that would have been nearly impossible!  And YAY for your and S for the twice a day BD!  You should get a medal for that!!!!  But I guess you got a baby which is pretty much the same thing ;)

Shyn - sorry for jacking your post. I still want you to poas soon.

I also thinking being sick must have done something somewhere. I did note it in the chart but cm was pretty consistent with the 29th also (just never noted it on the day so just left it off). I also did miss that one day in between there so who knows how much that would have changed everything. It was my first month really charting I was somewhat sloppy, woke up several times and also did not temp from the get go. My chart made me go back and read the annovulatory chapter in tcoyf. LOL

DH was def a champ, he deserves an award (that cough was not all that pretty this month). I even got upset about the missed day. Embarrassed

Do you usually have LP that are that long?

When I had fairly "normal" cycles, I had short LP like 7,9,10 days.....  Like I said though FF gives & takes away my CH all the time due to my wacky temps....   I really don't think I am, but if my temp is up tomorrow, I'll POAS just for you ladies LOL

& Pooks, no problerm, the posts get jacked sometimes LOL

  • OMG. This chart talk is so frustrating b/c I have NO CLUE what anything means! It's OK -- I don't need to know (at least, not for the next 2 years).

BUT, I do want to tell you, Shyn, that a friend of mine had high FSH and the doc gave her a 3% (or less?) chance of conceiving on her own. After her first baby, she got pregnant the first month they tried. I think miracles are possible, and there's always that 1% chance!

You'll feel better if you POAS, right? You're not being silly.

  • POAS. I am dying to know!
