Re: Tory

  • Thanks for checking! Yes, home as of today-Still somewhat of a mystery. I have hepatitis which is inflamation of the liver, but none of the viral hepatitis' (Not A,B,C) so what the cause of the inflamation is unknown.

They are at this point attributing it back to an herbal supplement I took prior to my St. Lucia trip and again a few weeks ago that is supposed blocks a small percentage of fat from being absorbed. Apparently for me it cause my liver to be inflamed and have high LFT's so it's BAD!. I have some follow up to do with my Doc and a GI specialist and of course more bloodwork, but they did give me the ok to go to Texas for Thanksgiving to see my family. Yeah!

Thanks again to all of you for your good vibes, and for checking on me Afton!

  • Yikes. I was wondering what was going on with you too. Thanks for the update. How did you know your liver was inflamed? Are you feeling OK now? Anyway, I hope you figure it all out and it goes away. We want a healthy happy Tory.

  • Oh My. I'm glad your okay and can go to Texas for Thanksgiving. That's scary that they don't know what caused it. Glad your feeling better though. I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Passanie-I had mild nausea and weird appetite issues-like feeling really full when I hadn't eaten much and then my urine was really dark-I drink a lot of water so that was definitely off. Finally decided to see the doc on Monday. She thought I had an ulcer and did some blood work and instead of stomach issues it turned out to be my liver. It was pretty random, I wasn't feeling sick just knew something was up. The other totally random thing is that they did an MRI and they discovered a benign tumor on my liver that is totally unrelated to this! It's also not a major concern so that's good!
  • Yikes! I'm so glad you get to go to TX and I hope you feel back to normal soon!
