Gym rant

So I love going to the gym and typically have my ipod so I don't hear people around me, but today when I was lifting weights this wannabe body builder was awkwardly singing and humming Thunderstrike by ACDC.  It kept going on and on and then he would make these really weird noises, not like the grunting that heavy weight lifters do, but a really weird noise.  It was just really awkward lifting with him doing that!

Re: Gym rant

  • I have a crazy lady in my office who sings or hums constantly.  Honestly, in her case anyway, she lives alone and I really don't think she's aware that she's doing it because nobody is ever home with her to tell her it is annoying.  And I once sat next to a gentleman on an airplane who talked to himself the entire flight and it was conversational type stuff so for a while I thought he was talking to me until he started looking at me funny when I'd answer.  (Think things like, "Oh, I wonder when we'll be taking off." or "Do you think that they'll turn off the seatbelt sign?"  I think some people are just oblivious to the fact that they're verbalizing what is in their head!
