I'm Officially Stumped

I have no idea what to get hubby for Christmas.  Please tell me I'm not the only one!  Or at least give me ideas?  lol

I'm hoping my mental block is just temporary and I'll think of something fabulous soon.  'Cause he just keeps telling me he doesn't know...

Re: I'm Officially Stumped

  • This is the first year that I actually know what I want to get DH!  His main present is a paintball gun and then I'm thinking about buying him new work boots (since his are falling apart) and practical stuff (such as new boxers, under shirts, socks- since our dog likes to play with DH's socks-, etc).  For some reason, this year, the possibility for presents with him seems endless.
  • I'm probably no help, my DH is getting new clothes. He needs to upgrade his wardrobe so he will be getting suits, jeans etc. We are going shopping together though. From his parents he has asked for an online subscription for his Kindle.

Is he handy? What about tools. Does he have a hobby that you can get his something for? A new watch? Does he need new clothes at all? Does he use ITunes? You could get him a GC. Is there a concert, restaurant, place he has really wanted to go/see/visit?

  • I have no idea what to get my for my husband this year. I went all out for his birthday (September) and now I'm left with nothing for Christmas!

  • My ideas aren't the most creative but hopefully they may help! I got him a Kindle for his birthday, so Christmas will be a little smaller. Hubs actually mentioned that he wanted a Leatherman. The man never really wants anything. So I made him show me and said don't buy it, it's your Christmas gift. So he knows about that one.

I did get him the one with the fancy case and matching flashlight so that there was a little surprise. He also had been lingering around nutcrackers and talking about how much fun he had with his soldier nutcracker as a child. So I got him one of those too.

I'm keeping an eye open for anything else that says "he needs this!" but don't have any other better ideas.

THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME!  DH's grandmother always buys him nutcrackers for Christmas and DH hates them.  I'm pretty sure he's thrown them all out (or at least has kept them in his parent's basement).  So it's been a running joke for years that I'm going to expand his collection and he always gives me the stink eye.  But this is definitely going to be his gag gift since he's so nosey and pretty much figured out his main gift so I'm pretending that is his real gift.

Hahaha! Love it! Glad I could help out :)

Exactly what I did in October!  I bought $60 worth of Pontiac tie tacks / hat pins / pins and then put them all in a really nice shadow box -- he's a Pontiac nut.  I've thought about more signs for his "man cave", but don't wanna go that route just yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies!

  • Funny you mentioned this because last night I remembered what I can get him ... he was supposed to get this as a wedding present but asked for something else instead.  Its a panoramic picture of the Giants/Pats Superbowl w/ like 14 second left - it was the big throw that won the game.

After reading this thread though I'm going to also add an iTunes GC to his stocking.

  • DH is getting socks, undies and a remote control BBQ thermometer.  His thermometer recently broke and we use it every weekend, so I know he wants a new one.

We're getting new carpet and hopefully a TV, so it's kind of our gifts to each other.
