"Starbucks" Facial!

So I just had to share, because I'm very impressed! I read an article awhile ago about facials on a budget. I've never had a professional facial, mostly because if I'm going to the spa I'm spending my money on a message. But I have used many at home masks/facials. Anyway the article talked about how you can get an at home facial for pretty much free....So here it is.

2 packs of natural sugar (the rock type sugar)

3 tablespoons of honey

Apply, and leave on for 10 min, after 10 min massage around face for 1 min and wash off with warm water.

In the article the free part was that the author got all of her supplies from starbucks with her morning coffee. She would grab a pack of sugar one day and a container of honey another day.  Anyway I tried out this facial ( but I used my own honey) I did use starbucks sugar though, and it worked GREAT!!! I think I'm in love with it! Anyway thought I would share becasue it is so easy and super cheap even if you buy all your own supplies!! Oh and you smell really good afterwards...just an added bonus!

Re: "Starbucks" Facial!

  • Cool! I've heard of honey facials before too. When I had bad skin I used to beat an egg yolk and use that as a facial mask. It made my face nice and smooth, too. It's amazing how you could use everyday products for under $10.00 to rev up your skin!!! Funny thing is, I've had spa facials before and some of them actually made me break out!

  • Oh nice freebie!!  Too bad I don't ever stop at Starbucks!

I will defined have to give this a try.  My face been neglected since the wedding...
