Re: FF Friday!

  • My mother is coming down to see me from Ohio today, which I love my mother, I like seeing her, but she is a little too much to handle.  And DH is out of town this weekend with work, so I have no buffer at all! Sad
  • HUH - I am pretty happy today - I have not a thing to complain about.  Well acutally I do.

So my Mom is living with my sister right now.  Everytime I talk to Mom it is b!tch this and b!tch that.  So I rarely call her.  Talking to my sister about Thanksgiving we have no idea what we are going to do.  I would love to cook, but my sister said if my brother comes over she will leave.  WTF?  Cant you get over the issues you have for just one day?  So my attitude about Tday is just forget it.  I dont want to deal with the drama and want to skip the day.

  • my dad ruined Thanksgiving for our whole family this year by convincing my brother not to come to NC (my dad has him by the balls with a loan and basically can't spend money without his consent...BS!!) which in turn means my mom won't come either.  Then he decides to tell me that he's stopping by this Sunday for a few days on his way up to see his dad in NY (he lives in FL).  UMMMM WTH!?!?  After he basically manipulated everyone out of coming here, what makes him think that he's even welcome?  My brother still hasn't met my son yet and Thanksgiving was going to be really important since we rarely ever get to see each other (brother in OK and my mom is in FL too).  UGH the nerve of him.  But I can't say squat b/c he has me by the balls too.  I hate manipulators!!

  • My flame is on my group who I have a project due with on Tuesday. It's worth 20% of my grade and there's one particular person thats a royal *** and acts like shes all big and bad, yet she hasn't finished her part yet.

The plan was to finish it by LAST Monday so that we could submit it to the writing center and have it checked.  I had my part finished and waited on campus until 6 when my class finished at 10am only to talk with them for 15 mins about NOTHING because no one had their *** together. . .

I feel like I'm seriously going to get screwed. . I hate group projects, at least when you're dealt a slack group :o(

Sorry about the Thanksgiving drama! I hope things turn around and work out!

  • There is a woman who use to be the organizer of a meetup group I was in.  Not a whole lot of people liked her and she made a crack at me for starting my own couples group because she was too "old to join".  She isn't organizer of that group anymore and got kicked out because she was making bank with their dues money.  Well today she sent a request to join my group which specifically states it's for 20's and early 30's.  I usually don't care how old someone is, but after her making that crack at me I don't want to approve her membership, but I don't want to be a biitch either.

Be a b!tch.  Obviously no one wants to be her friend.

And you should tell her why she's not getting approved.  You can put it in the nicest way possible, because she may not really realize what a b!tch she's being to the other people she apparently WANTS to be friends with.  Especially if this is all via email--you could just say that "she's been abrupt, short, and at times unfriendly.  These qualities are not desired in any of the members of our group.  I'm sorry."

I also noticed that she has started her own couples group, so I kind of wonder if she wants to join ours to "recruit" members.
