Am I wrong to be annoyed by this?
Since the day she was born we have called the baby Ella even though her full first name is Angela. My dad's gf will not call her Ella and now my dad has started calling her Angela too. It drives me crazy. I think I am going to start calling them Richard (goes by Rich) and Catherine (goes by Kathy) and see if they take a hint.

I can see why you're annoyed.
Most people in my family say Charli instead of Charlotte except for my one aunt & uncle, my grandma, and my cousin Molly who is 8. It doesn't really bother me much because I will call her Charlotte sometimes too.
I think it annoys me more because it's my dads girlfriend and I don't like her.

Is Angela a family name?
That makes sense. I would be more annoyed by that as well.
Yes, it's my Grandmas name. I also have a cousin named Angela.
I was going to try to rationalize it that way, saying maybe they call her that because they like the family reference. But then you reminded me that it's your dad's GF, so that doesn't work, hehe.
Yeah, and it's my grandma on my moms side, not my dads... And grandma goes by either Ann or Annie.
