My poor daddy

Yes, I still call him that.  He's my hero.  Smile

He is sicker than a dog.  He NEVER gets sick for one, and two NEVER calls off work (we work for the same company).  He has been off work since Wednesday this week and I feel so bad.

He is also a fireman and their annual Turkey Raffle is this weekend.  If I know him, he will probably push himself and be there b/c its really important to him.  I hope he gets better soon!!

  • and as a side note, I find it intriguing that people who work in service oriented positions raise kids who gravitate that way as well (ie- your dad is a fireman, you are a family therapist...children of teachers who become teachers, etc).  Anyone else ever notice this?

I def agree with your point.  However, I'm not the family therapist, my friend is.  hehe  My dad and I both work in a customer service type setting (there's more to it than that, but its close enough), and he is a part time fireman and EMT.  I AM, however, working on my degree to become a Criminal Psychologist, so I guess that's still along the same line of thought, right?  He said he works with enough crazy criminals on his runs that I should tag along and counsel them as they go.  hehe  Stick out tongue

  • OY!  My brain is not firing on all cylinders.  I was thinking of phatkat.  Yes, fireman/ EMT and criminal psychologist fall close enough to my examples.  I'm sure your dad has more than enough stories for you!
