oral steroids for a rash?

so I've had a rash that has come and gone for a month. I finally went in and my Dr. is putting me on oral steroids for 11 days to hopefully kick it.

I know this is a super common treatment, but I've never been on them before. She told me some people get anxious and have insomnia....then like an idiot I googled them and now I'm scared to take them because of what the side effects can be.

Anyone have experience being on them? I know everyone's body reacts differently, but I could use some reassurance that I'm not going to turn into a sleep deprived raving lunatic who puts on 20lbs over Thanksgiving at the ILs Tongue Tied

    LOL!  Mind over matter :)

My mom was on oral steriods for a rash about a year ago and she remained normal - hehe ;)

  • Lmao. I've been on them for poison ivy with no side effects. But my gma was on pretnazone (sp ?) On 9/11/01 and thought she was in the CIA. I've heard of that particular one making people a little nuts.
