i need an appetizer for thanksgiving. this is critical. i am doing a lot of cooking at the in laws, and if i don't bring something to feed my fil, he will hover and bug the ever living crud out of me. i would prefer it not be something that has to be hot, but i will entertain the idea of a warm dip that i can keep in my mini crockpot (the little dipper kind).
no chicken, no mayo (or at least something that covers it up with something else).
on second thought, if i have a recipe for a warm spinach and artichoke (or crab!) dip, after it's been baked, can i just dump it in the little dipper and will that keep it warm?
help me! i would rather not kill my fil on thanksgiving. also, i welcome any recipes you have, if you have one you love.

You could do rye bread dip, which is cold. I love love love this dip and could eat it all day long.
Or Rueben dip that's easy to do in a little crock pot/warmer. Bonus: no mayo!
The Sand in My Snow Boots
