Hi Ladies,
My name is Jaimie. My husband recently got a job in Atlanta (kennesaw) and I was hoping you could give me some suggestions on areas to look at for living. So far I've heard: vinings, kennesaw, woodstock, and acworth. are there any other places you would recommend? Are there any places that we should stay away from?
Thank you so much
Re: Moving to Atlanta
Thank you.
Yeah, I've been told traffic is really bad, so we are hoping to do our best to avoid it. I've also been told we will love GA, so we are excited about the change.
Thanks again for the info!

My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
I live in Woodstock (Towne Lake) and work in Kennesaw. Both locations are close to I-575. My 8-8:30ish work commute is usually around 20-25 minutes while school is in session. Any other time the trip would take half that. Traffic is bad, but not as bad as many other areas. Some people would dream of a 30 minute commute!
I mostly like the area. I hardly ever go south of Kennesaw/Marietta. Everything I need is right here in the 575 corridor. It's nice to be able to go into Atlanta for events, etc. There's a wide variety in housing prices too.
thank you for the suggestions. I'm actually going to be going up there next week and I will look into all the areas you recommended.
BTW, I don't know if you do nestie GTG, but if you do I would love to attend one when we finally get up there. I don't know anyone in atlanta and I'd love the chance to meet new people

I'm a photographer in Woodstock and we love this area; I grew up in Marietta and it's changed over the years-personally don't recommend some areas of Marietta though you could go to Johnsons Ferry Road area on the edge of Atlanta which is East Cobb. I'm sure you will love Cherokee too. Towne Lake area has LOTS to offer. As mentioned before Bridgemill is great, the Sixes Road area is great too! Harmony on the Lakes is a neat community as well up in Canton! Cherokee has super schools also!!! I know people who moved here just for the schools alone! Good Luck! And if you ever need a photographer let me know!
