Rec. Your Ring Jeweler here!

I'm working on a special project for a friend, and need recommendations for wedding/engagement ring jewelers!

TIA :)

Re: Rec. Your Ring Jeweler here!

  • We went to Shane Co. in Woodbury.  I've always felt like I "matter" when I go in, and we love that you don't have to go every 6 months to be able to keep the warranty.

  • Shane Co. in Woodbury.  We love them!  We got my rings there and my DH's ring there.  Prior to that he had purchased my pearls and diamond earings there.  All items are insured for free for life and the staff is very friendy.

  • Shane Co. in Minnetonka.  We've always gotten prompt friendly service and zero problems with any transactions.

  • Knox Jewelers in Uptown.  They custom created my ring, which I love that no one else will ever have my ring.  Family owned and operated :)
  • Gold 'N Treasures in St. Paul on Grand Ave. They are a small business and super duper nice. They remember DH & I from like 2 years ago. Great people and great prices too.

  • I second Shane Co. in Minnetonka.  They are great to work with.
  • Monique's White Diamonds in Bloomington. She has been in the business for 20+ years and runs the whole place herself! Does almost all custom jewelry, which is what we wanted. Really works with you to get what you want and works within the price range that you have to get the best for your money.
  • We had our wedding bands custom-made at Thomas Joseph & Sons in downtown Mpls http://www.thomasjosephandsons.com/.

They're a small, family-owned business, and they don't advertise, so their prices are very reasonable, and the quality is excellent.  Their hours are a little limited, but they're great to work with.

  • Knox Jewelers on Lyn-Lake in Uptown. Fantastic customer service, and they design all their own rings (and they do a ton of custom work). We had such an excellent experience with them; can't say enough good things. We stopped in a number of times before DH bought and each time they were very patient and helpful. They remembered us and we were on a first-name basis by the second visit. Compared to other jewelers we visited, we just felt really comfortable with them. Also, I love that they are family-owned and operated...especially since it is important to us to support local businesses. We will be back for future purchases!
  • My parents loved Jeffrey Jewelry Co in Minneapolis.  They recommended my grandma go there for her ?upgrade.? And my mom ?just happened to stop by there? when I was with her doing errands.  My husband went back to get the ring without me ? I picked a couple and he was supposed to surprise me.  The ring came in a couple hundred less then what he planned to spend.  He asked her if there was a slightly bigger diamond he should get and I guess she told him to save his money.  My ring is just over a caret and she said he wouldn?t be able to go up a noticeable in size.  I took it as a good thing, she could have said ?here, get this 1.2 caret.?  He would have believed her?.you can?t notice a .1 difference in size.
