Anyone else seen HP:Deathly Hallows?
DH and I went to the midnight showing last night. Boy am I paying for it today (only got 2 hours of sleep). I loved it, I'm glad they split it into two films. Usually I like the films, but don't love them because they cut out so much of the book. I would love to hear what other's thought of it.

Re: Anyone else seen HP:Deathly Hallows?
I did the same...the midnight showing and loved it. It was very true to the book with only minor changes and exemptions to keep the action of the movie moving along. It would have been terrible if they would have done just one film. All the good stuff and deep meaning to the book would have been left out. I just finished re-reading the Deathly Hallows and I was so impressed with the film version. I can't wait til July next year, I'm sure to cry at the last one. I just love Harry and the entire world J.K. Rowling created.
p.s. the snake was so scary! Ugh I hated the way it jumped at us!. Lol.
I saw it tonight with DH. The second Pirates of the Caribbean movie ruined midnight viewings for me, so I have to be an old lady and watch movies at a "decent" time from now on.
Anyway, I thought the movie was great! They finally stayed true to the book, which I guess is why it ended up split into two parts. DH has only watched the movies and said this was the best one yet. I also could tell that the three main characters have grown up and are much better actors now.
I don't know how I'm going to wait until the final movie! Doesn't it come out in May or something?
The final one comes out in June or July.
I was scared of the snake too! I jumped in my seat one time. I thought about re-reading the book before seeing the movie but just didn't have the time. DH kept saying "wow I don't remember it being this dark".
The only time I cried was near the end when doby died. I'm not sure why that death was any sadder than the others. I had forgotton about Hedwig.
