The Official January 2010 Knottie Holiday Gift Exchange
http://www.elfster.com/exchange/view/4013729/2b13ba/
Sign up is there. The limit is $15 and the sign-up deadline is November 30th. I made the exchange date December 17th because that way we can do it before the hustle of the holidays really start.
I think I did it right, hopefully no random people will sign up, lol.

YAY! FUN!
i thought of you, panda, as i walked to work this morning. i walked past the downtown macy's store and heard them playing christmas music outside (they pipe music outside every day). then i noticed that they had unveiled some of their display windows already and they are chock full of christmasy goodness! the rest of the windows will be kept secret until light up night in a few weeks. CHRISTMAS!!
Let me get this straight, you work in a place where you have to walk past a Macy's that has fancy window displays and pipes out classy Christmas music? How you fight the urge to not dress in 1940's garb and and talk like you're in an old timey movie?
Jealous!

i walk past this every day. i do feel a little bit like i'm in an old timey movie when i walk by some days, i won't lie. i love that they are piping out christmas music! so much better than the random glee tracks they have been playing.
christmas is coming!! eeeeee!
Love it! Buffalo has nothing like that. Our Macy's are in malls and not very attractive at all, though the one in the big mall a little farther away has a separate Macy's Christmas store. Hehe!

actually, pand, to be honest...the macy's pictured sucks. like, sucks. it's 11 floors so one would think 11 floors of macy's bliss, right? no. they don't have enough product to stock the floors and try to hide it by lining the products up next to one another in an effort to fill space. plus, it's like 9 floors of creepy. it's such an old building, the elevators are ancient, it's just chock full of old, outdated, creepiness. the main level floor, which is the one that is street level, is decent though. i guess because it overlooks the streets and has the windows. but the rest of it? creeeepppyyyy. i only go in if i HAVE to. or if i want to look at shoes (their shoe dept is decent). or if i'm meeting someone for lunch at the tick tock cafe in one of the lower levels.
i'm jealous yours has a separate macy's xmas store!!!
