I posted quite a few months ago looking for any recommendations for an Infertility Specialist or Reproductive Endocrinologists. I got a ton of responses, but obviously I don't have the post anymore. We've been going to RMIA for months now and have been unsuccessful. We've done IUI and are moving on to IVF in the future. RMIA doesn't participate with insurance for IVF, so we're looking for other location options.
My disclaimer: If you don't believe in getting medical help to have children... don't respond to this post. The last thing I emotionally need right now is a lecture on how you think IUI's and IVF is "wrong." We've been trying for going on to 2 years now without success. I'm just looking for suggestions. Thank you ladies, once again, for your help.
Re: Need Infertility Specialist recs... again.
I can't help with recommendations, but if you go to the bottom of the board page you can look at just topics you participated in, and you can change it to see all posts too.
I know the "my posts" thing on the left only goes back so far, but I've been able to find much older posts using the thing at the bottom of this page.
And good luck! I hope you get a sticky healthy baby soon.
I have no advice to offer, but I'm sending good vibes, spirit fingers, prayers and happy thoughts through my computer to your reproductive system. I hope you don't feel violated ;-) And to your mind and heart too - Stay strong, and keep up hope!
Re: your disclaimer - you tell 'em girl. People need to think twice before they get on their high horse around these boards, especially when something so personal is the subject of "conversation."
I saw Dr. Nagel at the Reproductive Medicince Center (U of Mn) for unexplained infertility. I got pg and had Sophia after IUI #2. They do have a fertility cost sharing program (for IVF) that you might be interested in. I wish you luck and a sticky bfp soon!

I saw Dr. Lisa Erickson at CRM (Center for Reproductive Medicine) in Minneapolis. She was great. We were successful on our 1st IVF attempt and have 9 frozen embryos.
Good Luck!! It's a hard and stressful road.
ETA: As far as I know there are no RE's in Minneapolis area (perhaps anywhere in the US) that are in network for IVF. They all conduct their IVF procedures under a different name. That being said we were able to get 60% (out of network reimbursement) back from my insurance for our IVF cycle.
Here's your old post.

I think it is really offensive that anyone would think it is appropriate to comment on your medical choices. I hope no one would have, even without your request. That's between you, your husband, and your doctor.
Good luck to you. I hope you have success soon.
Thank you... I couldn't find the old post at all! And also, thank you for your support. A lot of people seem to have very harsh and open opinions sometimes.

We saw Dr. Kuneck at CRM. IVF would have been covered with them under our BCBS plan.
I only saw him a few times, because we decided that wasn't the road for us for now, but I really really like him.
I've also heard good things about Dr. Nagel. He was, I believe, the first doctor in Minn. to EVER perform IVF.
I've been seeing Dr.Corfman at the Midwest Center for Reproductive Health in Maple Grove since May. We haven't had any success yet as we are on IUI#5 but the staff is fantastic and we've had a really great experience there!
IF sucks and it's a tough road so I wish you all the best on your journey.
Feel free to PM me with questions! Good luck and sending sticky vibes!
