Re: Thanksgiving Poll
1) Whats your favorite thing about thanksgiving. This year I could totally careless about the food. I am so excited to get to spend the weekend with my family and friends. I haven't been home since the wedding and I miss my mama

Thanksgiving question poll...
1) Whats your favorite thing about thanksgiving. Relaxing for 4 straight days! It's the first time I get a break during the semester. Love it. Oh, and the Broadway performances during the Macy's parade.
2) Whats your favorite dish served at dinner? Favorite dessert? Dressing. I love it. I'm a sucker for cheesecake, so I make it every year.
3) Who host Thanksgiving? Is it the same every year? My MIL. Yes, unless they're out of town. The one year they were gone, I got to make the whole shebang for the two of us and some friends and it was AWESOME. But MIL isn't gonna be letting go of hosting Thanksgiving anytime soon (boo...)
4) How are you splitting up the Holiday between the two families? Dh's whole family lives in the same town as us---my whole fam is 2500 miles away. Traveling for Thanksgiving is generally not an option.
5) Are you braving the crowds for Black Friday? Who are you shopping with? What stores do you want to hit?
We're looking for a TV, so wherever has one. But I am determined to be done with shopping (Round 1) by 630 to go to spinning and then out for breakfast w/ my SIL.
I forgot to answer the dessert question.
I love apple pie! It is my favorite!
Thanksgiving question poll...
1) Whats your favorite thing about thanksgiving.
4 days off, and plenty of excuses for shopping
2) Whats your favorite dish served at dinner? Favorite dessert?
turkey with the cranberry sauce and for dessert - peacan pie
3) Who host Thanksgiving? Is it the same every year?
SIL's husband loves cooking and every year TD is at their house because that's when he can really show off. I starve myself a day before to be able to eat everything he makes.
4) How are you splitting up the Holiday between the two families?
I am Polish, and we do not have TD, so we always spend it with DH's parents. This year, we will also spend Christmas with them, next year Christmas will be with my parents.
5) Are you braving the crowds for Black Friday? Who are you shopping with? What stores do you want to hit?
Yep, I got a few coupons for additional $$ off and I do need to start shopping for Christmas gifts. I am not doing the midnight thing anymore though. I did that the last two years, and noticed that I do not really like the stuff they sell at the outlets. So, early on Friday, i will go to a local mall and shop at Macys and other stores.
My Blog
1) Whats your favorite thing about thanksgiving.
I love how the family comes together without the pressure and stress of Christmas. Because gifts aren't involved, everyone can just relax and eat without worrying so much about buying the right gift, should I buy a gift, etc.
2) Whats your favorite dish served at dinner? Favorite dessert?
My mom's homemade macaroni and cheese. She only makes it for Thanksgiving and it is cheesy and delicious. My favorite dessert is pumpkin pie, which I don't think we're having this year
3) Who host Thanksgiving? Is it the same every year?
We rotate a bit. We usually do Thanksgiving with just our parents since our extended families live far away. My mom usually tries to host so that we don't have to eat dry turkey that someone else made. Her turkey is always perfect.
4) How are you splitting up the Holiday between the two families?
This year Thanksgiving is going to be awesome. The ILs are coming to my parents house and my grandpa is flying in (he has never come to visit for the holidays). Also, some Indian family friends are coming because they really wanted to experience a traditional Thanksgiving (even though they aren't supposed to eat foul on Thursdays) so I am really excited to share our traditions with them.
5) Are you braving the crowds for Black Friday? Who are you shopping with? What stores do you want to hit?
We usually don't, but DH and I saw some great deals on things we were buying anyways, so we figured that we may as well brave the crowds. We plan to get to Best Buy around 3am to wait for the 5 am opening to get a desktop computer that is about $500 off. The 700 thread count sheets from our registry are half off at Target (which is next to Best Buy) so I will run over there when they open at 4 for the sheets, Call of Duty, some picture frames, and a blender (ours just broke last week, so we figured we may as well get a black friday deal).
1) Whats your favorite thing about thanksgiving. Eating! And seeing family.
2) Whats your favorite dish served at dinner? Favorite dessert? I love sweet potatoes. Really, I love all of it. And pumpkin pie!
3) Who host Thanksgiving? Is it the same every year? We have it at my grandpa's house every year (much like Christmas, although that's changing this year). We're not going to be able to make it up this year, though, so DH and I are heading over to my brother & his girlfriend's place for mini-Thanksgiving.
4) How are you splitting up the Holiday between the two families? We're not. DH's family moved to South Carolina last year and we don't have the money to make that trip very often.
5) Are you braving the crowds for Black Friday? Who are you shopping with? What stores do you want to hit? Nope. DH has to work and I'd rather sleep.
