What's for Thanksgiving dinner?
So, what are you ladies making for thanksgiving?
Are you hosting or going to someone else's house?
(Sorry Canada ladies --- know you already celebrated yours, but you can look back on it and let us know the answer too!!!)

Re: What's for Thanksgiving dinner?

I'm making gluten free (and nut free since my cousin is allergic) sweet potato biscuits (so tasty and don't taste gluten free, i swear!) and possibly some type of desert. I'm thinking maybe a pecan pie since Zig LOVES them but i doubt it would make it to thanksgiving because he'd steal it and eat the whole darn thing.
Are you hosting or going to someone else's house?
We're going to my family's for Thanksgiving this year (was at Zig's last year) and it's at my Aunt and Uncle's house - i think its about 45 minutes from where we live now....so not too bad

We'll actually be able to have Thanksgiving with both families this year. I'll be making an apple pie and some spinach dip for Thanksgiving with DH's family. Not making anything for dinner with my family since we'll be flying and stuff.
turkey (i talked H into it), stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and biscuits.
We're not hosting for anyone. It's just us 3 and I have to work.
We hosted last year, so we are visiting this year! My parents live about an hour and a half from us. We are going Wedn. to their house and staying the night. My g-ma will be there too - se hasn't been to our house for Thanksgiving in a few years. (She usually always comes, but the last couple years we were having some issues with my little brother and his addicition. He's finally sober 13 months though, so Grandma is coming!) I'll help mom cook and everything most likely.
Thursday night we are going to DH's sister's house, which is about 30 minues from my parents. The next day, his whole fam is coming to OUR house (about 45 mins). The university in our town hosts the high school state football finals the day after T-giving, and all the men in DH's family go. His mom, sisters, niece, etc. are coming here and will hang out with me! I'm making Chili that day....

This will be our first year together that I haven't made dinner! I think I'll wind up missing it though - I love to cook, and so it'll be hard for me to sit in another room after I'm shooed out of the kitchen.
We're going to my parents' for breakfast (we're weird - we eat all day long!) and then his parents' for dinner. I'm making appetizers (homemade cheese balls, crackers, etc.) and then cake pops for dessert! I'm excited about those!
i am not cooking anything.
we will be eating at my grandma's with my family & then at his parents with his family =]
