no July baby for us :-(

Hey ladies,

So I've been MIA lately.  I told you all last week that we were expecting.  Well, last weds. I started bleeding.  I didn't have cramps or anything, so when I called the doctor, they insisted it was probably normal bleeding.  After 2 1/2 days of bleeding, the doctor FINALLY had me come in.  Had a mis-carriage. :-(

My goal at work today is to try and not cry (anymore).  I ended up telling my two bosses last week that we were preggers b/c I needed them to know why i was leaving work.  So of course I came in today and they asked how i was and I lost it.

My advice for all of you that might be ttc in the future, pay attention to your own body- no one knows it better, not even the doctor!

  • I'm really sorry to hear that!  I know how excited you were.  I have no words of wisdom or advice, just sending you T&Ps.  <3
  • I'm so sorry to hear that.

Did they know why?  Is there anything you can do to prevent it next time?

    Stupid doctors...

  • I am so sorry =(.  I know there is nothing to say that could make you feel any better right now, but just realize that everything happens for a reason.  You and Hubby will get through this and try again when the time is right for you both.  Prayers and good vibes sent your way!

  • They have no clue why it happened.  I mean, there isn't anything "wrong" it's just one of those things that just happened.  Guess it wasn't time.  Yeah, I think we'll try again right away- and the doctor said that should be just fine.

I guess a higher power had different plans for us.

    Thanks all!

  • I am so sorry. (((hugs)))
  • im so sorry, thinking of you and sending healing energy your way.
  • I'm so sorry to hear about your pain. I agree that there must be something out there that had different plans for you, whatever they may be.

    Hugs.

  • I am so sorry about your loss! The only thing that reassured me last month was my SIL telling me that her ob said that something like 83% of women lose their first. You are probably normal and fine, but you are in control of your body, and when you are ready you can try again. Take time to mourn.

  • I'm so sorry hearing about this.  You will be in my thoughts.

Definately take time to mourn, I had a m/c at 8 weeks, 3 years ago, which was aslo my first, and it's still hard, it gets easier to deal with, but some stuff still hits me and makes me cry.  I found a support group in my area for pregnancy and infant loss that helped a lot, and also the national SHARE for pregnancy and infant loss helped me a lot also, maybe check into it.

I also had no answers from the doctors as to why it happened, everything came back normal, like you said, it wasn't my time.

  • I am so, so sorry to hear this.

And I definitely think your advice is great, that you know your body best.  I read this book recently, and thought it had great advice, decoding what your body is doing.  Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility

    Best of luck to you!
