Short work week!

How many days is everyone working this week?

I only work today and tomorrow, thank God!
So today is like my Thursday, which makes me happy!

This weekend I colored my hair a shade darker, did laundry, and cleaned.  Today I have to get my hair trimmed, get groceries to make pumpkin cupcakes to take up to NJ and food for our trip.  Tomorrow, I have to get my nails done and start packing.  Don has to work on Wednesday so I'm going to try and sleep most of the day so whenever he gets home we can pop in my car and I can drive straight on up there!

I can't wait to watch the Macy's Day Parade!  :D

Re: Short work week!

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for me, then DH is meeting me at work on Wednesday to leave right away for NYC!  We'll get there Weds night and get up EARLY on Thursday to go see the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade!  Thanksgiving with his family on Thursday, then spending time with friends Friday and Saturday!

Tomorrow after work I'm cooking my apple pie and packing for the weekend!  SO excited!

  • I'm M-W too.  SO excited!  I forgot all about work drama this weekend and walked right into it first thing this morning.  God forbid we upgrade your computer to windows 7 and noone knows how to use it!  Not to mention the techno-phobes that don't like it :p  I'm running around like I'm IT or something trying to help these nervous nellies.

We changed T-day from DH and I splitting the day to all of us up at the ILs.  My mom finally conceded.  However, this means I don't get to brine a turkey.  I'm so disappointed it's palpable.  I may just do it a week after, since I already pre-ordered a fresh (but too small) turkey.  MIL just bought a 20lb-er, so my only contribution is mashed potatoes.  Sad.  I'll just have to console myself in FIL's amazing wine punch...

  • I'm working today, tomorrow and half-day on Wednesday.

I'm really, really psyched b/c K ended up getting the weekend off.  He was originally supposed to work Thanksgiving and the whole weekend, and I was going to be here alone.  But now that he's off, we're traveling home to have Thanksgiving with my family.  Yay! :-)

Are you actually going to the parade?  Or just excited to watch it on TV?

  • M-W for me.

And I have to admit, I think I've only watched, maybe, 5 minutes tops of the parade ever!  I'm not a parade person I guess.

Excited it's a short week.  i need this!

Just going to watch it on TV this year, but I have been to see it in person before; it's quite an experience!  I have a cousin who works for Macy's and has been in the parade before.  Usually we just go into the city on Wednesday night to see the balloons being inflated...its pretty neat to see actually.

  • I'm working M-W.  I'm hoping that we'll get out early on Wed but I highly doubt it.  I'm getting my eyebrows waxed today since Richard made a comment yesterday that they looked like they needed to be waxed, such a smart a$$.

I am so ready for Thanksgiving.  I am so ready to cook.  I still have to pick up a few things, mostly produce and I'll get those tomorrow.  I still need to find Pancetta.  I went to Trader Joe's but they were all out.  I then went to several other stores and not one of them carried pancetta.  Seriously?!?!  It's just bacon.

I also like watching the Macy's Day parade.  It always makes me so emotional.

  • I am working M, Tu, Th, Sat, Sun, Yay for two days off!

We are doing Thanksgiving on Wednesday with my family since both DH and I are working on Thursday.

This coming Saturday is my birthday and DH is taking me to our wedding venue for a dinner concert (they do Wassail concerts during the holidays). Can't wait, but I have nothing to wear, I guess I need to shop! Sunday is my niece's 14th birthday so we are probably do cake and gifts at my sister's some time that day.

  • Monday-Wednesday for me too. But I will probably wind up leaving half day on W. Then we will just relax until Thursday we will eat lunch with H family (after much debate) then go to my familys house (about 10 minutes away) about 3 or 4 o'clock. Then we will be done for the day. And I guess on the weekend we will spend time with my family thats in town.

  • Hi - short week here for me too. Today, tomorrow and hopefully half a day on Wednesday! I'm stoked about a 4 day weekend. This weekend was really low-key; my cold is gone, yay but now I've been dealing with this stye, ugh and gross. I have a 10K turkey trot run on Thursday and I desperately need to run before then since it's been a week since I've laced up my running shoes.

the only thing I have to to this week for Thanksgiving is get salad ingredients together and make cookies. DH and I will visit my grandparents on turkey day to say hi and pick up my Christmas decorations since they are stored in their shed.

I'm so excited about so many things this week, but that's definitely at the top of the list. LOL
