Jilted?

Have you seen this show on the WE network? Girlfriends propose to their boyfriends and tell them the wedding is in one week. The boyfriends have a week to say yes and marry them that Saturday or walk. I feel so bad for the guys being hijacked and tricked like that. What a way to start your life out together.

  • I've never seen it, sounds awful though. What a way to start out a marriage!

    Agreed!

  • That is terrible.  That is not a marriage.

I have NO problems with people who get engaged and get married right away (like, decide to get married and then head to the court house the next day) because that is a choice that they are making together, and I have seen it work.

But this is basically someone being given an ultimatum.  Marry me or we're done.

What about if these guys maybe had been planning on proposing, and were saving up for a ring and a special way of popping the question?  And now that's ruined.  Stuff like that just disgusts me.  I wonder how many of those "marriages" will last?

  • I was going to watch but didn't! I think some stuff they put on tv is a train wreck waiting to happen. Poor guy! On the other hand if she wants to move on because he has commitment issues and she wants a relationship that is moving forward I could see proposing. But getting married thats to much!!!
  • Wow, that show sounds fvcked up.  I'd be pissed.  If some guy ever told me that I had a week to make up my mind and marry him, I'd tell him that a week is too long.  All I need is 3.5 seconds to tell him to fvck off!!
