Not that I was miserable before, but I have been off the pill now for 2 weeks, and it is really making a difference! It's like a fog was lifted off of me and I feel bubbly. I noticed that I have been extra giggly with DH when I see him. Which is more like me. I was on it for 3 years-ish. I just realized that I was really snappy and easy to aggravate all the time. Plus no sex drive, even though DH is very attractive. It's almost like I'm... awake? Whereas before, everything happened and I was just there in it. I don't know. I'm scared because the reason I started it was horr.i.ble. periods. I'm crossing my fingers that it's possible to grow out of that. Now we have to be extra careful though, since...erm...we don't want babies yet
Plus, it's a short work week, I ordered a new (used) saddle, Thanksgiving with fam and food, getting a Christmas tree and Christmas are coming! Yayyy! Haha
I know someone else has something that's making them happy, Share!!
Re: I feel Happy :)
Yay!! That's great! I can only hope I feel as great as you do when I got off bc. I want to start charting but I need to finish reading the book about it. My goal is in January - which is just around the corner! We'll see if that happens.
I hear you on being extra careful - we're TTA right now too!
I agree about feeling better when going off the pill. I stopped taking mine in September and my mood, sex drive, etc. all improved too. We are not ttc yet either, but we are using condoms in the mean time (sorry if tmi!). It did take until November for me to get AF again, so I'm glad that I stopped when I did, and I'm hoping that all goes back to a regular cycle from here on out!
Other than that, I'm looking forward to all of the holidays and decorating too! Yay for our first married holidays! I'm also happy that after another long day tomorrow, I will be off for the rest of the week!
I get the fog thing...I stopped taking the pill earlier and use NFP now. I used to get these HORRIBLE migraines on the pill that would stop me in my tracks, but now I rarely get them. It's amazing!
We're trying to avoid babies for now too. Charting makes that pretty easy. Plus, it'll be easier to conceive when we have the $ for a little one.
my read shelf:
I'm so glad you ladies feel better!! I think it's interesting that some of you off the pill relate to that fog idea, too. The idea of all those hormones floating around in the bloodstream creeps me out a little, especially now that I am beginning to see what it's not like to have them in me. I'm hoping we are consistent enough for the NFP, so far (couple weeks, haha) we are
And Mel, sounds like when you do go off the pill, you and your DH will be busy - Nothing wrong with that
