Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. DH knows how to cheer me up
He got his bonus letter today for 2010 and forwared it to me. We think the owner of his company is trying to entice him into staying now that he knows that DH is pretty close to receiving his official offer from the State Dept. He's right that it is making it a little more painful to give everything up, but in a way his boss is making it easier b/c having more money in the bank will make the transition not as hard. This should also cover the expensive dental work DH needs in the next 6 months.
On a related note, during an interview for DH's background investigation, the investigator asked one of DH's friends if he had noticed any suspicious financial behavior, like us coming into unexpected money suddenly. His friend says he laughed and said "I don't think so. You should ask them about selling their house." Sometimes I worry about the sarcastic embellishments our friends are prone to give in these interviews.
