Thanksgiving Menu

Whether you are hosting or not, what will be served on Turkey Day?

Re: Thanksgiving Menu

  • Appetizers:  Deviled Eggs, Candied Pecans, Baked Brie, and probably some other dip

Dinner: Turkey Breast grilled on the grill to save oven space, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows on top, Scalloped Corn, "Red Salad"- My family's version of cranberry sauce, Stuffing- Still need to find a recipe any suggestions?

Dessert:  A mini Cherpumple (Apple Pie inside a yellow cake on top of a pumpkin pie inside a spice cake on top of a cherry pie in a chocolate cake all frosted with cream cheese icing)

  • My mom is doing most of it and from what I know, we're having a fried turkey, sweet potato casserole, corn and green beans. It will just be four of us, so not too much.
  • We're hosting, but everyone is bringing a few things for the meal.  I'm making turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, rolls and cranberry sauce.  My SIL is bring green beans, pecan pie and sage dumplings.  My mom is bringing pumpkin pie and rice pudding.  I can't wait!

  • I honestly have no idea.  This is the first year I'm not going home and we're going to the in-laws instead.  They do a huge family ordeal, so I'm sure it'll be tons of food.
  • We are driving to Pennsylvania on Wednesday and apparently have been given the task of preparing most of the stuff. Sigh. On our menu right now, turkey, stuffing, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, ham and some sort of vegetable. Also looks like DH's dad is making a pumpkin pie.

  • We're starting w/ appetizers - lots of veggies with ranch dip, deviled eggs, and shrimp cocktail.  For dinner we are having turkey, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, and cranberry relish with pumpkin pie for dessert.  Cannot wait!!
  • Other than turkey; honey baked ham, rice/gravy, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, cream corn, potato salad, deviled eggs and cranberry sauce (whatever that stuff is called, I don't eat it).

For dessert we always have an assortment of pies. My family is huge, there will be over 30 people there.
