Thanksgiving Recipes?
So I make this maple brown sugar butternut squash every year for DH's family Thanksgiving meal, mostly because my MIL loves it. But this year, I wanted to try something else besides the usual. Granted, I will make the usual because MIL might die if I don't, but I wanted to try my hand at something new. I don't really like traditional Thanksgiving food, but DH's family does, so anything that might broaden their horizens would be nice.
Do any of you ladies have a Thanksgiving side-dish recipe you'd be willing to share?

Giada's sweet potato gnocci sounds really good. We're very traditional with our thanksgiving menu, which includes no fewer than 3 casseroles. It's the one day a year that my mom makes everything Paula Deen style (i.e. lots of budda) so we live it up!

I LOVE green bean casserole! This year I'm going to do the almost 100% homemade one instead of using canned produces. I've never tried the recipe above but it looks delish and its what I'll be serving.
I am kind of bummed, I don't think MIL wants me to bring anything for T-day, and I love to cook. I am at a loss....

The one thing that I changed was that I boiled the sweet the potatos instead of roasting them to soften.
