How was everyone's wkend?
Mine wasn't bad. Told the family this w/e, my parents are thrilled (fri night), IL's cried and were taken way off guard- sat night), went and told my nephews (well, the one who can talk) and he wants a boy cousin and said he wouldn't watch out for a little girl (he's only 5)...mmk. Told my GM yesterday, and BIL & SIL last night (BIL decided to be the first to talk to the baby and say I have a little pudge (not a lie, but I didn't think it was noticeable yet. H said he was just being a jerk) So I decided to say...thanks no kidding, what's your excuse...
still NOTHING on FB though. Not telling friends til after our HRA test.
It was an actually pretty busy weekend, and I feel like a$$ today. It will be busy at work for sure though.
Re: How was everyone's weekend?
Our friends had a party at their house by the lake on Sat night. We had a bonfire and roasted smores. Yum! I did a little Christmas shopping with my mom over the weekend.
Yesterday we got the decorations out of storage and finally did some work on our previously empty room. I really want to buy new furniture but we are making do with what we have.
We are still plumbing issues in the kitchen. Hopefully we can get someone out here today to get it fixed. We can't use the dishwasher or the sink.
Not bad, mostly stayed in. I still don't feel 100% since I was sick.
Cleaned some, and made a new batch of candles - our first multicolored ones.
ETA: Totally forgot - hanging out Friday night with the girls was pure hilarity. FUN!!!

Spent most of Saturday in OKC - met my mom for some shopping and went to our friend's kid's birthday party [she's like, 19 days older than JJ]. I hadn't realized until I went to the party and was surrounded by other moms and kids just how much I miss interacting with parents - well, people in general.
Yesterday was a little bonkers. JJ was all over the place - I had things to do, and he just kept wanting to play [and get into things]. I felt like a horrible parent since I kept having to tell him to wait until I finished a task before we could do something together...so after he finally fell asleep, I had a breakdown and felt better. I was so stressed that I cleaned out the fridge, did two loads of dishes, reorganized our laundry closet and wrote three rec letters for my students. I was up until 3am - and paid for it when I got up at 7am - but I do feel better today. It also helps that I only work until Wednesday at lunch.
tiring! i'm glad to be at work today, lol.
ryan let me sleep in saturday then we had an appt w/ our insurance co. homeowners was easy, then we started talking life insurance.
didn't make any decisions yet, but need to before ryan turns 31 (12/20).
that afternoon i spent packing til i ran to target then met my sis at babies r us to work on the registry some more. she was a huge help! then we ordered dinner and i watched what happens in vegas.
sunday morning i grocery shopped, made breakfast, we went bed shopping (bought a king!) and ran some other errands. then i went to sil's for a mary kay party. made dinner when i got home (fresh tilapia and used panko breadcrumbs for the first time - yum!). then negotiated w/ ryan and he did the dishes while i cleaned the bathroom, lol.
Not bad..
Friday, I had a board meeting for an advisory council I'm on..that was fun. The rest of the day I played with the tyke and watched TV. We went grocery shopping and out to eat with a friend that night.
Saturday I cleaned and then we took pizza to MILs and hung out with SIL + kids and MIL/FIL.
Sunday we went to church and then came home and I tried to work out our financials while the husband and child slept. Trying to figure out how we want to pay hospital bills and holiday bills, whether we take it out of savings or farm account. It was exhausting.
The kiddo was whiny yesterday and didn't sleep all that well last night so I'm thinking she might be getting a little sick. Either that or it's just a little diaper rash making her uncomfortable- either way we'll have to wait and see. It's times like this I'm thankful for the sitter- it's like having an extra parent who's seen it all and done it all and knows what she's doing.
Saturday: my parents and brothers came down for a little while, I went to office depot and did the church bulletins, we dropped my car off at the mechanic to get fixed, went to the phone store because I got a new iPhone and hubby took mines.
Sunday: watched football and did all of our Thanksgiving food shopping! Yay!
*burks: i hope your little girl isn't sick.
*Cutepuppies: I'm glad everyone is soo excited!!
Busy busy!! Friday was off, so I got all of the cleaning done for the weekend - awesome to get that out of the way. H and I ran a few errands and then our for dinner. Up early on Saturday so H could sleep in, make cinnamon rolls and got a work out in before we ran more errands. H also grouted the shower downstairs, it's finally coming together! Met his dad to watch the Hawks blow another close game - boo!
We had plans to go watch the UFC fight that night, but both of us were zonked by 7 from running all day, so we bailed and watched Precious at home instead.
Yesterday was quieter, just did a grocery store run. I'm so excited for a short week this week!
Too fast!
Friday- Went to see Morning Glory with a bunch of my coworkers. We had to see the late showing since some of us worked till 10:30 so I didn't get home till almost 1:30.
Saturday- Lazy morning, did some laundry, then H and I went to Verizon to buy new phones!!!!! We ended up with the Samsung Fascinate and I am obsessed.
We finished up the day with a run to Sam's Club and dinner out. It was very nice.
Sunday- Niece's birthday party. All things pink and sparkly! She is getting an American Girl doll so I bought her some accessories and a paper doll kit.
