1) Are you getting a tree?

Yes, but we don't have it yet

2) Real or artificial?

We're going to get a fake one...b/c of the cats and b/c i dont feel like vacuuming twice a day. But having a hard time finding the right one that looks like, is a decent price, and is the right height for our super short ceilings...and with white lights only.

3) Any color scheme for decorating?

I'm thinking about a silver/blue theme on the tree. We don't have any ornaments since this will be our first tree (never had one in the apartment) so we have to get everything this year. Shatterproof ornamanets will likely be what i'll go for

4) What's the top item on your christmas list?

Probably some new sweaters since im running really low...need to be practical

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?
If we have the money (not sure yet), thinking about getting him the xbox 360 with kinect --- he needs a new gaming system and i think the kinect might be neat! especially for exercising lol

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?

To save money this year, i'm going to be making "Apple pie in a jar" for our extended families. We have lots of people, so this will be a nice way to give everyone a little something and not drain the bank account. Its basically prepared filling for an apple pie canned in a mason jar with a cute little instruction card of how to make it into a pie. I think its cute and nice and personal...and tasty!

Also thinking about family portraits for the parents...but thats just a working idea

4) What's the top item on your christmas list? Honestly, this year is really hard for list making. I feel like with the wedding a few months ago, we got so much stuff and there isn't much left that I can think of that I want. The only thing I have been able to think of is clothes...

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby? Again, same situation. I'll probably get him clothes - stuff for coaching

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share? We're making photo books of the wedding for the parents. Chris wants to get silly books from good will to give everyone...last year we got everyone a random, silly mug.

~we do a fake tree. I had a real tree one year and hated finding needles in things months later! I love my fake tree!

~oh. Umm...ditto previous answer.

~nope. hodgepodge of stuff.

~peace in my family. Seriously. I'll settle for a new sweater and maybe a digital picutre frame.

~A gift card for a hotel getaway with me. And a new guitar stand.

~I'm doing gift baskets for our family like parents and siblings. Just made homemade kahlua 2 days ago...it's really good!!! Making homemade amaretto, too. Then doing homemade breads and jelly. We will probably add wedding photo books to the baskets for the parents

We have had a real tree before, but it is a PITA. So last year we went out and bought a really nice fake one.

2) Real or artificial?

Fake!

3) Any color scheme for decorating?

Red and Silver mostly on the tree. A few random ornaments from when we were kids our mom's gave us. Aside from the tree, I have a thing for snowmen, so alot of those scatterred around!

4) What's the top item on your christmas list?

Probably a kindle, and a handful of things we didn't get off the registry.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?

He really wants ski goggles, so a nice pair of those. And he wants a new cover for where the hitch goes in his truck.

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?

DH's mom and dad are taking an Alaskan cruise in Aug. for their 45th anniversary. We (and DH's siblings) are getting them a new, kick butt camera to take with them.

Yes, so excited!!

2) Real or artificial?

Real! Christmas tree hunting is one of my fav days ever! My family goes to a tree farm every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Now DH and I get to get our own tree

3) Any color scheme for decorating?

A Wedding Tree. I have a few little swirly gold twigs from my centerpieces to put in the tree. My neighbor who was like a grandma to me died the morning of our wedding, but she had already crocheted us Wedding Bells, so they will be our tree topper in her honor. And I think white lights would look beautiful with it.

4) What's the top item on your christmas list? I really need clothes. Like everything from socks on up. Some things we didn't get on our registry.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?

A Kinect for the xbox360. He really wants me to play video games with him, but I don't like em, so since this looks more fun, it will be a good way to compromise.

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?

Parent's albums from our wedding and also a framed 5x7 photo of our individual families with us. I'm not sure what else... I don't do well with planning gifts really far in advance. I'm sure we'll think of something!

Yes of course

2) Real or artificial?
We actually have an artificial one from last year that I think we're going to use again. It's kind of small because that's all the apt would allow for. I wanted to go hunting for a real one at a tree farm for our first married Xmas and first married Xmas with puppy, but DH said no. And with the size/set up of our living room in the new house, honestly our small-ish tree is probably the prefect size.

3) Any color scheme for decorating?
Don't really have one. Someone was saying gold and pink and I LOVE that, maybe I'll go for that this year, adding in shades of white and red too.

4) What's the top item on your christmas list?
I only asked DH for one thing, Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue perfume.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?
We agreed we were only doing small gifts this year, since the puppy was our big expense/big Christmas gift. I ordered him a Golden Doodles wall calendar to surprise him... but I know we will both use it. I need to find one other small gift to surprise him with ($50-60).

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?
Framed wedding pics for our parents.

1) Are you getting a tree? Yes, and we didn't get to put it up last year, so I'm excited!

2) Real or artificial? Artificial. I don't like to mess with the real ones.

3) Any color scheme for decorating? All of our ornaments are bright colors with glitter on them if that's a theme.

4) What's the top item on your christmas list? As a PP mentioned, I feel like I still have everything I want having just received a ton of wedding gifts. I did just run out of my Sandalwood Vanilla body care from Victoria's Secret, so I suppose I will ask for that.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby? He really wants a North Face jacket.

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share? Not really anything out of the ordinary. We made albums of wedding photos for my grandma and my parents.

2) Real or artificial? - Real. DH and I are planning on getting one on Friday.

3) Any color scheme for decorating? - Last year we did red ribbons and blue balls (don't know how else to word that!). It was gorgeous.

4) What's the top item on your christmas list? - I don't really know.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby? - As long as I don't talk myself out of it before Friday, I'm getting him a PS3. He really wants one and has wanted one for a long time but they are just so darn expensive!

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share? - I'm excited about the gift I made for my nephew. I just learned how to crochet and I bought a pattern on etsy for a fox beanie hat. It turned out really good and I can't wait to see it on him!

New camera! Brian said i could have one, but I am not sure what I want yet, so it may be a post-christmas christmas gift.

I have no idea. He just got a new laptop, so i'm technically not "allowed" to buy him anything. Now that we share bank accounts he'll know if i make a substantial purchase, so sneakily getting him a gift will be an interesting task...

Thinking about this stresses me out. I love giving gifts, but it;s so hard for me to pre-plan.

1) Are you getting a tree? Yes...sshhh...it's already up! I think this pregnancy has made me too mushy and excited about the holidays, I've never been like this.

1) Are you getting a tree?

Of course! And it will be extra special this year because last year we didn't have one at all... an extremely hard time for my family and we were broken up while my dad was living with my grandfather.

2) Real or artificial?

Real... I love our real Christmas trees, I don't think I would ever get an artificial one.

3) Any color scheme for decorating?

Not really. I bought a whole bunch of coordinating ornaments last year for when we have our own house, but since we still live with my dad we don't have any special scheme for the tree, and I haven't done too much decorating otherwise.

4) What's the top item on your christmas list?

A ski jacket and a few smaller things like a GC for a massage/manicure, a CD case for my photos, etc.

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?

Tickets to see the Boston Bruins... he's really gotten into it this year and I've always loved hockey. It's probably the first thing we really follow together.

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?

This year I'm determined to find really thoughtful gifts. I've made a list of everyone's name and am writing down qualities about them, or what is most important to them, or their interests, so hopefully I'll spend less time blindly walking around malls. Even though I love doing that at Christmas

Artificial, 7.5 ft tall tree, so excited as the last 2 years we had a 3 ft tall tree

It will be a low key christmas this year since we just had our honeymoon and spent quite a bit

Absolutely!

2) Real or artificial?

I love real trees, and so does DH, but this year we are investing in a fake tree. Too much upkeep of the house as it is, and so many more places for those needles to hide.

3) Any color scheme for decorating?

Silver/Teal/Blue

4) What's the top item on your christmas list? a positive pregnancy test would be wonderful

5) What do you think you'll be getting your hubby?

We are keeping it simple for the two of us and focusing our christmas budget on the boys to give them a great first christmas in their new home.

6) Any other special gifts that you are giving to family/friends that you want to share?

wedding albums for our parents and framed pics of our wedding party with their SO's from the wedding. Aside from that, my friends and I decided to nix gift giving since we all have kids/step kids. We are going to go out for dinner and drinks with that money instead.
