Your Black Friday game plan?
Alright...I am going to tackle Black Friday for the second year in a row. I don't have any "big ticket" items that I'll be waiting hours in line for, but I do enjoy going out early and getting some good deals!
What is your game plan, where are you headed, and what MUST you get?
I'll probably just visit Rosedale and finish off my Christmas list!
Re: Your Black Friday game plan?
my read shelf:
2. drink enough fluids
3. go for my 20 week ultrasound at 10:10am
4. lunch break
5. 1:40 we go back to talk with the dr about the scan!!
6. grab a few baby outfits to give to the grandparents to share the sex of nugget
7. meet up with our parents for dinner!
KERJF and I are kinda on the same page.
1. Sleep in.
2. Go to ultrasound appointment which will determine when I go on bedrest.
I just don't do Black Friday. I've worked too many of them. I don't want anything that bad. That said, who knows what I'll do next year when there's children involved.
Sleep in, relax, maybe do a little work, then make Thanksgiving dinner with my husband.
We're joining some friends for their family T-day dinner on Thursday, so we're going to do our own Thanksgiving dinner on Friday so that we can eat leftovers for a week!
Probably end the day with an movie...
I enjoy holiday shopping, but I have no interest in Black Friday shopping.
Sleep until a normal time, mayyyybe go to the mall with my mom around noon, then go to my sisters hockey game.
If I was at the in-laws, we would be out there at 4am or whatever it is this year, but thankfully (heh) we aren't making that 6 hour drive this year and in what could be a terrible storm.

My two BF's are picking me up at 6am and we'll probably start at Target, then move into Apple Valley and hit all the main stores there that are on our list, usually- Kohl's, Menards, BBB, and occasionally Best Buy. We usually make our way to Herberger's as well and end at Burnsville Center. We get done shopping between 2pm and 4pm and then we'll head back to my house and wrap everything.
I'm going to the gym early and hopefully it will be quiet there. Then DH and I are headed to Excelsior for the Christkindlmarkt. It's supposed to be like a German Christmas Market.

No shopping for me.
I'm doing a 4-hour shift at the humane society in the morning, they are short on volunteers because of the holiday. Then, I'll probably spend the afternoon digging out the boxes of Christmas decorations and start decorating. I have dinner with Andy's family downtown in the evening.
Speaking of our dinner, we're going to Seven. Any recommendations on what to get there if you don't eat red meat and you don't really like sushi? I'm not sure this is a good restaurant choice for me, but I'll make it work since that's what the group decided. They have to have some kind of fish or poultry option, right?

I'm a vegetarian, and I usually order some combination of vegetarian sushi rolls or tempura vegetables at sushi restuarants. I'd check their menu online, and if you don't see any options on the menu, you can call ahead and the chef might be willing to make some special accomodations for you. (You can also just ask when you get there, but you might have better luck if you make a request in advance.)
