Yeah it's pretty much a blizzard out here. It took me over an hour to get home! Normally it takes 20-30 minutes. It is INSANE. The only reason i got home that quickly was because I rebelled against a troupe of firemen and just drove over their flares lol. I was like TWO BLOCKS from my house and super hungry, no way was I waiting for their funky butts. It looks really pretty though, and Dakota is loving it! LUCKILY I got studded snow tires put on my car this morning!! So I was very prepared and had no trouble, I just was always stuck behind people who felt the need to go 15 mph.
Re: BLIZZARD!!
When I opened this I was hoping it was about a blizzard from Dairy Queen...
I hate snow! Don't send any of that to Ohio please!!!
I'm glad you made it home safely though.
Oh I am so glad I am away from that!
It has been in the mid 70s here. It's summer during Thanksgiving. I wish it would at least be cool and feel like fall. We seriously don't have the ac or heater on because it is warm during the day and then freezing during the night so we don't know what to turn it on to in the house.
Glad you made it home safe! It was 80 degrees yesterday here, its ridiculous; driving with my windows down the week of Thanksgiving.
It actually snowed in Houston last year and Maverick got to play in the snow, he loved it! I bet Dakota is having so much fun!
Enjoy the snow! I love staying inside on a snow day and watching it fall when I don't have to actually leave the house. We have a fireplace so that's the best part of winter for me - I love the smell and sounds of a wood fire.
It's about 56 here today. :-)
Me to! When I was growing up we had a wood burning stove in our living room. You couldn't see the fire, but I loved the smell of it! I miss it now, we don't have one in our new house. I'm hoping the next one we buy has a fireplace =]
hahaha that's so funny, as I was posting this I was like HAHA NOT THE DAIRY QUEEN BLIZZARD, I WISH. Then I contemplated trying to get to a Dairy Queen hahahaha.
Yeah I'm totally still going to work today. WISH ME LUCK! My dad is already there and he said it's 20 degrees. Seriously, this is the weirdest thing ever. People were stuck on I5 last night for like 5+ hours. NG had to walk the last mile of his commute home because his car wasn't going to make it down this steep hill (which he is very excited to climb to retrieve the car... not! Haha) A ton of people who live in my old neighborhood where I grew up just straight can't go home because all the roads leading to it are just full of parked cars and impossible to get up (it's on the side of a hill).
This!
After living in Ohio for a bit (in the lake effect snow area) and then moving down back to Georgia I laugh when people start to freak out about one snowflake they just happen to have seen.
Yeah, last year around Christmas when Houston had its' own "blizzard" (I use that term lightly because it was a blizzard for us in Texas - I'm sure you northerners would think nothing of it) the ENTIRE city of Houston shut down. I of course took the bus to work that day and had to wait for a bus to come take me home for about 4 hours. I don't know how you guys deal w/ the ice and snow
